Over 306,000 miles on this one! Also note that it has alloy wheels from a Dodge of some sort...

    @PennSilverTaco

Charlie, I went to the Mecum Auction in Dallas this weekend and saw 100's of amazing cars. I know that you are a car nut and would appreciate some of my favs. The blue Ford GT was originally bought new by John Cena. He sold the car and was sued by Ford. (google it for more info). Anyway, it ended up selling fro $1.5 million.

What kind of communistic bullshit is that? Getting sued for selling your own property?!?!

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Binding contract people signed when the picked up the vehicle from Ford. Sadly it’s a sound contract and Cena may be out some cash.

No it doesn’t shes being fed a bullshit line.

Shes out of her mind to keep taking on debt. A Subaru never dies. Pretty sure you have to total them in an accident for them to stop running.

100k the thing isn’t even broken in!

She's crazy wanting to sell a solid safe and reliable car that is paid for.

I'd keep the 2010 and drive it until it dies. Then I'd try my damndest to weld/swap out/bolt on new parts to resurrect it.

The new one is probably a nicer car but, as the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Little bits here and there to replace but much much much less than a new car payment,(they break and need repair also after the warranty expires.Avoid that dealership like the plague.)Cars today can go 250K with scheduled maintenance.

    Its cheaper to keeper.

Today would have been John Lennon's 78th birthday, so my favorite radio station is playing a few songs in his honor!

Its incredible how confident you all and while having no clue what you're talking about lol.

Dealer might be a dick might not, but either way there's a very legitimate reason the value drops at exactly 100k miles.... financing.

You can get a <100k car financed through almost any credit union, once you're over 100k the rates jump, terms shorten and your lenders narrow especially if you're working with a customer who's <680 FICO.

From the dealer's perspective if it has over 100k miles they're essentially going to have to find a cash buyer or a customer with really strong credit or convince someone to swallow a shorter term high APR, all of which makes it much less desirable them as its a lot harder to sell.

<100k you can still get decent financing from pretty much any credit union.

Rather $1k is too much or not is up for debate but its a simple fact of the business that its less desirable to any dealer/lender the moment it crosses 100k.

Now that thats out of the way I too think she should just keep it, I love Subarus but the new one isn't enough of an improvement to justify upgrading yet in my opinion.
