You’d think them knowing the competition that’s coming around the corner they would keep features like this and even come up with a few new things. Guess they are trying to milk all the can while they can.

Ranger, Jeep truck, mid size ram, new frontier, Hyundai truck and possibly a few others all on the horizon...

With all the sales increases and the full sizes being a bit lame for DD'ing, I am thinking the same. Put some profit back in to the design and add more cool features.

 

Yeah. If it wasn't late at night and I had some VHB tape, I would have gone to the store and grabbed a ziptie mount and stuck it to the side of the bed behind the filler neck.

I will go that route if I ever need to touch it again.

What you don't see is that I attached it to one of the accessory rail attachment screws with another nut and safety wire. It was a one beer mod that turned into a drunk fest.

 

I actually like my full-size for DD better. Parking can be a little tight but it’s like that trying to squeeze into any spot. Easier to back in anyway. I enjoyed having the more spacious interior, even at times when it was just me. Also was a lot more comfortable, not only short trips, but definitely long road trips.

 

I'll take the everyone is different excuse, and MPGs. I didn't like driving or even riding in full size Chevys or F150s. It was like a cavern on the inside. The back seat of the F150 crew cab is like a living room.

I like the size of the Taco, and even wish it could be smaller although it is just right when the rest of the family is with me.

 

It was awesome.


As for mpg I got pretty much the same

 

I thought maybe I was weird using zip-lock bags in there. Just seemed logical.

If it would have fit in our garage and it came with a MT, I would have thought hard about the F150 SuperCab. I would have test drove both but feel that the Taco still might have won out?

Just full of stuff including the motorcycle, fold up trailer, keg fridge, upright freezer, and moar. The dream is for a 3rd bay or an outright shop in the next house.

With an identical house, the ex-neighbor squeezed an F250 in with nothing else other than his soon-to-be ex-wife's car.

When we were buying, it was quoted to be 22x22 (even on the county records). In reality, it is 19x19 plus a usable understair section. That is where the ex-neighor squeezed in the hood of the F250. He wanted an F350, but it wouldn't fit.

I think many of us just like a smaller truck and would buy a 1st gen again if they made them new. I would love a reg-cab 4x4 V6 6MT in a first gen body.

 

Restomod! Extended cab for me though. They were always tops for me.


Just laughing at myself thinking about this and the other dream machine, the Williams powered Singer. That'll cover the range.
