Over the weekend I had 20% tint added to the front windows, matching the rears. I also moved my hondo mount and installed a constant 12v for it.

Thanks for the feedback and part numbers. Picked up the blade refills at my local dealer. The employee who checked me out said the cost went up recently ( I didn’t even ask). They were $13 each which is still cheaper than buying replacements at the store.

Had leaking rear differential gasket repaired last week along with rear leaf springs replaced for howling noise.

The filter is just a means of venting the rear dif two ways, with air flow both in and out.

The Tacoma rear differential breather is a one way valve which allows air pressure out, but doesn’t allow air back in, so it creates negative pressure in a hot differential which can possibly damage gaskets and seals and allow water to get sucked into the hot differential when driving through water or backing into water on a boat ramp.

The original dif breather might be contributing to leaking rear differentials, or it might not be, as some who have installed two way valves have reported leaking gaskets even after installation of a two way breather for the rear differential.

We’ll see. I figure it can’t hurt and it might only help.

Started the bumper install. Still have to trim the inner fenders. Sand down the rough cut and install some trim. And obviously mount up the new bumper
