Does anyone plow with their Tacoma?

I have a 13 TRD sport DCLB and am thinking about getting a plow for just doing my driveway (300'+ on a hill) and my moms (100')

just looking for advice?

How does it plow?
Issues with suspension?
need stiffer springs?
Kill tranny?
Brand & cost?

Keep in mind there will be a lot of negative posts from folks that don't have any experience with a plow on a Tacoma.

@smcgill - I believe this member has a bit of experience with a plow set up and may chime in.

 

I had... a Curtis HOME-PRO on my Taco. It took care of my 400+ driveway ..we do get a lot of snow lately..Now I need to buy a snow blower..
My Taco was retired @ 336,000 miles ..it didn't owe me a thing...
Would I buy a Curtis again ..things have improved since .. but no, I would try something else,if I went that route again..

 

Look for ease of putting it on when you have 6" on snow ..sucks to have to fight with it when it's cold and wet.
Also you have to change the fluids , look to see how hard that is, and lastly how much $ for parts compared to the others.Will you install place also sell parts ?

 

I installed this last year, I plow only my parents, one neighbor and our driveway:
The plow is hydrolic up and down only, the weight of the snow turns it one way or the other. When lifted or backed off, the plow springs back to square.
It’s a HomePlow, cost 2600


Easily mounted initially, easily attached and detached.

 

Not a bad looking setup for a few driveways!

 

How do you like it?
Would you get the same plow if you had it to do over again?
is it a pain to pin it to stay straight or plow opposite direction?

I like it. Easy on and off. Once off it has wheels, you can easily push it to where it needs stored. I keep mine in the garage for the summer.
Yes, I would get the same plow for my needs.
I can stay straight and reverse plow with no issues.
If I wanted a plow for earning a few bucks, I would definitely get one with remote angling.
