    Nah its no where near that bad. It averages about 10 to 12 hours maintenence to every 100 hours of flight by the time the TTO (time to overhaul) on the hot section of the turbine gets down to zero. Helicopter tours are so expensive cause the tours hav to pay for fuel, maintenance, hangar space, $35k-$50k a year worth of aviation business insurance, helicopter payment ($87k per year for a million dollar loan with good credit after giving 10% down), pilot salary, FAA registration, and bi-annual avionics calibration. So yeah it adds up.

    Nope, haven't tried it. I have however been clothes lined by a clothes line playing hide n seek in the dark.
