I didn't notice this in the pics you texted last night but does it not actually cover your entire bedrail? If not you'll want to do something to keep water from sitting there and potentially running inside

It's nice and flush/perfect at the rear and forward about 1/3 of the bed length. The front/cab side sits in about 1" from the outside edge of the plastic bed caps.

Which is why I'm getting all the gasket/trim things!

Mine has very dark tinted windows (Which I like) I grew up driving dad's dump trucks and such. Always drive using outside mirrors, even in my car days. I never had much use for inside rearview mirror. Can't tell you when the last time I looked in it. (other than back up camera) Even before topper....Pretty much find 'em useless and a source of glare from headlights on cars/trucks behind me. Everyone has their own personal driving habits....

Already have back up camera. Thought it to be a waste when I got the truck. Like it now. Especially when backing into parking spaces.

Windows on the topper are dark too. I'd say at least 35% or darker. Almost a perfect match to the truck's OEM and my added front door window's tint (OEM is 32% iirc). Got 30% on the 2 doors and 5% on the windshield strip.

I use my rear view to look and see if I'm about to be rear-ended, that's about it. I'm about 98% certain that adding the camera into the tailgate will give me reverse image on my HU, not the mirror. Read up on a few threads in regard to this and I check off all the boxes for easy drop-in install with HU display of reverse camera.

If you recall, my rear window is COVERED in decals. Couldn't see out of it anyway. Then spare tire is standing up in front of bed, blocking much of the window. THEN dark tinted glass in topper. Multiply that by my poor vision....Can't see shit outta back window.

I've been rear ended 5 times over the years....5 totaled vehicles. Almost rather not see what's about to hit me. Can't do a damn thing about it. Last one was a Nissan Altima that plowed my Dodge 3500. I was sitting still and she hit me at 65mph. I could see her 200 yards back and tell she wasn't even looking at the road ahead. Knocked the rear axle up under the drivers seat....Air bags deployed.......Sandy bought me the Tacoma later that day.

I'm a bit bummed to cover my stickers on the back glass, but I can always get more. Going to sticker the side windows of the cap, maybe. May just peel all of them off and not advertise anything at all.

They look wild as hell! Funky tread pattern/lugs for sure.

Leaning toward the TrXus radials instead, but less plies.

From what I've seen, TrXus or Irok will be a better tire. My Iroks ride great on the highway

This is the conundrum. Truck is still, and likely a while longer, my only daily option. I want okay on-road and really good off-road tires.
I'm still okay swapping from the baby Grabbers to the 255 KM2s, Grabbers are just a little small.

255 km2 is a solid tire man. why are you looking for a different one?

Poo poo dick on wet pavement. Heavy for the 4 banger. Also, cheap ass.

May say hell with Interco and switch to the Maxxis Big Horn. Roughly $180/tire.

Have you considered having less of a lead foot? I didn't have much issue with the KM2s in the wet, except when I was trying to.

They make ST Maxx's in 255. Also make KM3s soon. Don't cheap out on tires, especially not now that you're carting around a family. They're the single most important safety feature on the truck.
