Hi, i read this post on how to change the spark plugs on the taco here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/30479-how-spark-plug-change-1-gr-fe.html but i havent found the spark plugs as cheap as mentioned here, i found the denso plugs at 9 dlls each, which they seem kinda expensive.
I have found the same price here: http://toyotapartscheap.com/ but i dont know if its a safe place to buy and if they are real toyotas OEM parts or just cheap spark plugs.

Another question, im trying to make tune up to my tacoma, and on my previous cars i had to change the spark plug wires, but i went to autozone and they told me they didnt handle them, and i saw the preivous post here and they dont seem to change any wires, does that means that tacomas dont use them anymore? or they are called differente or something?

    Can somebody please help?

    getting there....
get the plugs at the dealership.........go with the standard denso's.....they're about $4 a plug....you dont need the iridiums. as for wires...you dont have any....you have coil packs. the info im giving you is based off of your profile saying you have an 05 doublecab....which would have the 4.0 v6.

    Hey Guys,
When you buy plugs at the dealer, are they pre-gapped?

They're suppose to be, but I was always told to check them all again anyways.

They say they are. Chris4x4 did a write up on the install and said that the dealer ones were pre-gapped but that he still adjusted them himself.

From what I gather they are, but they are kinda all over the place. Apparently you want them at .41mm. But when Chris got his they were at like .39 to .44. So not too far off, but still not super consistent.

the nearest dealership to where i live is 2 hours away, so is there any place online where i can get them? Do we have to reaplace the coilpacks when making a tune up?
