Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
Completely f'ed up my paint by taking a wrong turn into a narrow trail. Pin-striped it end to end over 100 times. Then spent the rest of the day desperately trying to buff them out to more or less no avail.

    Question:

Will waxing help make the scratches less visible or will they still be there after?

Should I try a clay bar? I am not getting deep enough in the clear coat by hand to get the bad ones out.

Some one please help me out, totally having a panic attack over this one!

there's a polishing compound that's made by mother's - california gold scratch remover - its decent. i've used it before on my car (black paint+a fight with a pine tree) it just needs a lot of elbow grease...and wax after...

did a headlight restoration. they didn't look too bad (I've seen much worse) in the beginning but wow! what a difference!
and performed the "leaf spring anti-squeak mod" aka sprayed my new leaf packs with white lithium grease.

5100s in the front at 1.75". Those combined with TSB rear springs now has me sitting almost dead level.. I know, it's a crappy cell phone pic but it was 90º+ today and I wound up putting them on, taking them off then putting them back on again all while being "assisted" by our 5 yr old daughter. :D Tired!!

No need to, just start with some super fine sand paper and wet sand them, then work your way up to polishing compound, then wax. Thats how I did mine and they look great. I just keep them waxed every month so they stay nice.

$8 at O'Reilly's and it worked great. Took about 30 minutes to do it and my headlights look like new. Only down side, the kit only has one application of the final sealer and about enough of everything else to do 6 pairs of headlights. Still worth the $8 though. I plan on just waxing regularly to keep things looking good. Oh and if you do try this wipe the lens down between each sanding stage, the instructions don't say to and I ended up having to touch up the first lens I did because of some added scratches. The second one turned out much better once I realized that.
