Check the front bumper skin at the front of the wheel well. I ran mine for a bit while waiting for Eric to finish my bumper and ended up slicing a wedge out of each side to stop that rubbing.

as far as showing off goes, these seem worthy. not ST Maxx but they are Coopers, just for the SUV's. they're really similar to the ST Maxx but with a normal load rating and stuff. they drive amazing and look great. the wife hates them and they're staying on! lol. Zeon LTZ 275/45-20 in this case.

no they are perfect. the road feel is so much better than the Pirelli Scorpions that were on it before. they were numb and cheesy... i really cannot stand the drive on all seasons. and these are tough and have capability unlike the Scorpions.

she prefers the numb all season drive and thinks the Zeons are ugly and they ruined the look of the brand new $70k vehicle i just bought her. i filed her complaint somewhere but cannot remember where...

So I had 255/80R17 with my 6spd mannual 2015. I actually improved mileage on the highway. In the city (hills stop and go decent amount of idling) I averaged 15mpg. Highway was 22-23. Back road driving (45-55mph zones rolling hills, not stop and go) was unchanged at 19.

Assuming you have a auto transmission 3rd gen? You might loose 2mpg in the city. Also if you haven’t already recommend going in to the dealer to get the transmission TSB reflash

I had 265/75/16 Duratrac load range C and after I changed to S/T Maxx (same size 265/75/16) I gained 1 mile/gallon. (I was using the Fuelly app on every fill up for 5 years) I noticed no difference i ride quality.
The small differences in tire weight has little impact on rolling resistance. Other factors contribute way more. Tread, amount tire sticks out from wheel well, outside aerodynamics. If you are that concerned about a few pounds per tire, tell everyone in your family to lose weight or don't fill up your tank all the way.

You will love your S/T Maxx in any size you get.

Great feedback on the comparison of ST Maxx’s to the famed Duratrac’s. I’ll be buying a 2nd set of these when these wear out, but in 255/80/17 pairing them with the FN FX Pro wheels. Best A/T tire out there IMHO.

Oh and you need to update your mods section accordingly. ;)

OK....I'm on 2nd set of STT PRO's. Love 'em. But....They wear out too soon. I got 44K out of first set. At 30K on 2nd set. Can see them needing to be replaced by spring/early summer 2019. I'm 110% pleased with Cooper. Now. Looking for more road wear mileage. I see several Maxx owners saying 40K. I get more than that from PRO's. So who got the MOST miles from Maxx's?

BTW 285/75r16 E's. Convince me I'd get more miles.....

It’s really hard to gauge mileage on a tire. Are they running UCAs and at what caster, is the alignment done correctly, how often did they rotate, PSI, mallcrawl, off-roading etc. When I had mine swapped out my 255 st maxx at 13k they practically looked new to me. I would have assumed I’d get 50k plus.

44k out of an all-terrain as aggressive as the Stt Pro is pretty darn good as far as I'm concerned...most AT's are lucky to see 50k and that's with mostly street driving. I only got about 25k out of my last set of KO2s before I switched to Coopers, and I wasn't too bummed about it...they saw quite a bit of abuse.

What they looked like at 14k miles, and rotated every 5k. The top 2 are fronts.

Just put them on. I got Blemished tires at the Carlisle Auto Show for a great deal. No vibrations or issues, just cosmetic blemishes I guess.

$500 for (4) 265/75/16s New would have been over $800. To me that's a pretty good savings.
