Like I said above, it's always good, but I've just never had anything that makes me want to go. end o' de day, it's still just burgers and such. Again, just my opinion though.

Stay away from Chacos. The food is not terrible, but it tends to be a circus.

The thing about Houston is that while the Mexican restaurants are plentiful, most are trash. Around you, I'd say Papasitos is probably the most "authentic" in terms of flavor and ingredients, but it's also crowded and a bit expensive for what you get. The quality is good though. Caracol, Hugo, and Xochi are quite good as well, if not a little on the trendy/hipster-ish side of clientele.

Should you find yourself on the SE of Houston towards Galveston, check out Mr. Sombrero's in League City. Easily the best Tex-Mex food around, and the prices are unbeatable.

If you want a ride to any of the places that are way the hell out there, I'd be happy to shuttle you and the family around. I work down here so most evenings I've got nothing better to do besides drink at the local dive bar.:drunk:

At a minimum. A really fun place.

I used to think that until, after eating at so many, I realized that most are the same as one another. Replace the sign and the food remains the same and medicore at best IMHO.

    Sad but true.

Coming from a 900cc Yamaha, downshifting on the taco is extremely disappointing lol
