LOL ran great otherwise. Hopefully it starts when I go back out there--I let it idle for a whole 6 minutes.

It'll learn idle trim by driving around and stopping. Seems similar to my camaro's fuel injection.
I didn't hear the idle fluctuate or anything.

The other part I want to note, it shifts more firmly which is also what I wanted! And I spun the tire going around a corner on accident(dirt road, but used to the corner). We will see how she does on the way home later.

Should have put that in the instructions.. Oh well. It wasn't fluctuating anyway.
After reading that again, that is how fuel injection works when you put it on older cars. It won't hurt anything, but won't learn as quickly so it will continue to try and learn on each start up.

The 4.7L v8 from my 4runner in my Tacoma would give me the most painful erection lol

I once saw a comment that the 1st gen Tundra is basically a 3rd gen Tacoma with a v8 and zero tech. Not a bad point...but i like my tech features

I wouldn't mind buying one of those, it's basically true. Too bad the front end loops horrible compare to the tacoma lol

A low mileage 4.7 1st gen tundra or 4th gen 4runner wouldn't be a bad idea for someone dissatisfied with the truck's performance but that still wants a "midsize" v8 truck.

Recently test drove a 4.7 4runner and it was pretty fun.

Quite a difference that is has simply with the down low torque and overall 50+ torque.

Awesome to hear that you are enjoying the tune. So the big question is - do you feel it was worth the price?
Mind you, I'm only asking your opinion. I've had the tune installed since 1.03, now on 1.04, and I love it.

You guys wouldn’t have to worry about warranty if you drove your trucks more!

Also everyone wants tundra power with Prius mpg with 5,000 lbs of extra weight…

I will let you know tonight on my way home. So far, if it drives anything like what I felt, absolutely. The throttle actually feels like I control it now. It would shift down instantly and go. I am only on the 87 tune and can feel some down low torque there. Might be due to me actually being allowed to open the throttle rather than the ecu deciding what I want.

I averaged about 18 in my old tundra! I wonder what mileage I will get with 1.04 on 87

I am on 1.04R 91 file with 91 gas. I have consistently got 18-19 mpg.
I live in Utah at ~4500 and I think that has something to do with mpg, but overall I am very happy. I have seen better mpg with the tune then without, but its the available power that is even better.

That in itself is what I really noticed. I just wanted the control, which it definitely has. I am sure there will be a hiccup or two, but you know what just around the area here its way better. Tonight's drive home will ultimately decide if I keep the truck.
