Straws were made with paper-waxed and kept in a glass jar, no wrapper.

My grandfather rolled his own cigarettes.

    Blue cans of Bugler tobacco.

He taught me how to roll cigarettes for him, and one day I was playing around with the rolling papers and he said I could have the pack.

I didn't think too much of it, but when I showed up at the school yard with them, I got a lot of attention from some of the older guys- unusually interested in these....didn't understand at the time, but I did put the skill I learned from Pop to good use later on.... can't laugh about it because I know he would have literally kicked my butt if he knew what I was doing.

Kids these days, watcha gonna do with em....

I have had that same thought at one of my fishing spots, I could spend an entire week at this spot filling trash bags and still not have it clean. If I don't do it, at least a little bit it won't get done. I figure it will help, however so little.

Reality for many old houses. My aunt's house has only 2 prong outlets. Anything remotely modern requires that ground provision. Makes the adapters a must

I remember those electric buses in Boston. My Grandmother called them Trolleys and her kids called them Streetcars.

I was in awe of the zapping sounds and sparks that would come from the connections above and fall in the dark snow covered streets at night. We had nothing like that where we were from "in the country"

Ohio Blue tipped matches, I could light them one handed with my thumbnail. Once in while a chunk of sulfur would go off under the nail. I “was” cool then.

I've seen some old episodes of SNL and I got to tell you, it was painfull to watch. Not very funny to me at all but I suppose you relate best to the decade you watched. I thought the mid 80 to mid 90's seasons with Adam Sandler, Phil Hartman, Mike Meyers and Chris Farley were the best.

I hate limp wrist hand shakes, as soon as I feel your bitchass hands I squeeze even harder. Not that I have big and strong hands mind you, I just know how to shake a hand.

There was no Google and it took hours to find things in the library

.... with those little 3"x5" Index Cards that were on the Dewey Decimal System

Yeah, if you didn't know a guy that knew cars and you didn't have a FSM you were SOL. If you wanted to fit 33's with no lift you fit them and cut what needed to with out being spoon fed info like now.

If someone would have told me back then ...

    (1) That I would have no free TV and the Pay TV would cost me over $100.00 a month to get junk channels.

    (2) That I would have to pay for water (bottled water) at the convenience gas store and it would cost more than double that of gasoline per gallon.
