You could always just do a 4x4 conversion on down the road. It's gonna cost you though. Weigh your options.

Thought about that, but I rather just get a truck already set up with 4x4. Seems conversion would be more costly vs trading/buying one.

 

Price it out. Doesn't hurt to see what it would cost to diy before trying to sell and buy another. Last I saw there was a salvage TRD sport on CL same color as mine, DCSB. All it needed was a hood, fender, grille and lights.
Edit: I can't find it, his other two wrecked first gens are on there. I talked to him on the phone a while back to see how much.

Well that answered my question lmao. Was gonna ask if it was on the devil penguin.

 

Got an offer on my house, inspection tomorrow.

Hopefully goes smoothly so I'll be one step closer to having an overlanding rig set up. Still looking into the idea of trading for a 4x4, but not sure how that works with a truck I literally bought 4 months ago.

Man putting Leafs into Riley's Tundra was an ordeal for sure. Definitely need to invest in an impact and some ratchet wrenches. I might buy one of those high reach HF floor jacks too, like his. Also need some taller jack stands.
first leaf comes out and it starts pouring buckets, so I threw up the canopy, which stopped the downpour, but since we were on a slight grade all the water was running under us. Both of us were soaked, and ready to be done after one went in, then the other side we couldn't get the bolt off where the shackle meets the pack. We tried a dozen different things and then finally got it to break loose. We repositioned jacks and stands probably 50 times throughout, and with the grade it got a little sketchy at times. We finally finished around 8 or 9. Riley gave us cash to pay for dinner and dashed home. He insisted on paying. Me and the wife went out to eat after. Honestly, it was a pretty fun time, other than being wet and cold. Check out his before and after pics on the FB page. We were able to slide the canopy over the shell before the install, and had to lift it over after lol.
