Oil Patch was the common thread. Worked with lotsa guys from the Republic in some very unkind places. They could shoot damn straight & knew how to use a blade. Yup, the kinda Folks that when they say, " I got your back", they really do. Mighty Grateful to be a part of this Crew.

Ah, well, at least the comments led me to something. If you don't know it already, here is the CAF home site, and down here, anything that flies out of the San Marcos Wing pretty much flies overhead here at home! I love these birds. There is a show in Dallas sometime this month, if it hasn't happened.

That's a beautiful Mustang, can't tell from the pic - Atlantic or Pacific? One of Americas greatest inventions that plane, and our dads and moms cranked out a lot of other great innovations back then. Proud of all of them. I know and love the sound of those motors overhead, and never understood growing up how the "enemy" didn't hear them. Even though I got hearing aids now, I can tell from inside the sunroom, and I will go out and wave like a fool to get a wing wave back! Hell, one Saturday, they came back around and I got four fighters in a missing man fly by! I mean SHOOT!
