Without mudflaps on my truck, I had so much stuff sprayed up off the road you couldn’t really see out the side windows. Luckily my mudflaps arrived a few days later.

No way I was going to drive around like that all the time

I'm really considering the rek gens.. they are literally the same thing for $92. That will leave me cushion for mods because I'm really gonna need a bed mat asap. I've never had stuff slide in a pickup bed like this composite liner.

Also a cover would be great that wouldn't break the bank.

Yeah, the bed mat is kind of expensive but absolutely necessary. It’s a slip and slide back there. I don’t know anything about the Rek Gens.

I just bit the bullet on some rek gen flaps and a bed mat. I figured grab the essentials before I spend money on cosmetics.

They are simple high quality, look clean, and block kick up.

Price is stupid but it is defiantly the nicest mud guards I have ever owned.
Good thing I only paid $60 for a new set from someone who bought them but didn’t like how they looked. Because I would never of paid $150.....

and a bed mat to go along lol. They seems like the same thing to me and I have heard good reviews from multiple users on them.

I got Weathertechs. They seem adequate and cost under $100 for all four. From what I can tell they are very similar to the Toyota mud guards. They probably wouldn't do very well with larger tires and they aren't extremely flexible...therefor they're not a good option for serious off roading. But I've been happy with them. They look OEM like they came with the truck.

Would you post pics once you get them installed? I'm on the fence between these and Rokblokz. Thanks!

I can't remember anymore but I'm pretty sure I got mine from either a group buy or some type of holiday sale. In 2016 it felt like there was a group buy every week.

Anyone know what the mud flaps were that came on first gen tacomas? I liked those. They were flexable and had 4WD logo on them.

Those were just the stock OEM ones. I liked them the best as well. For whatever reason they switched to the hard ones. I think your best bet are the softer ones suggested in this thread. I wouldn't imagine the first gens to bolt properly to our trucks.
