    It’s just a kickstarter campaign to bring back the old Tacoma, highly doubt it’ll ever come to production. Toyota makes money on packages and trim upgrades, not reliability.

    Current state of negotiations. Took a while to get here.
    2018 Sport DCSB w/ tech and a few options
    MSRP: $38,660 + 385 fee = $39,085
    Discount = $5,357
    Rebate: $1000

    Net = $32,728

    Thoughts??

    Is that a four wheel drive? Is it the color that you want? Does it have everything that you want on it?

    Yes, pretty much. It's a 4x4. Obviously would have liked a fully loaded truck but didn't feel it necessary to spring for the extra $$.

    I think that’s a pretty solid deal for sure. But you did answer pretty much. IMO I make sure that I get everything that I want for the amount of money that I am spending. Everyone is different though but that deal seems pretty solid to me.

    I don’t think you can get an OR in 2WD.
    That is pretty close. I think there is still some room left. I am looking at OR DCLB w/ Tech and 37 was their first offer. My own calculated target is 35K. Maybe get things thrown in at that price... bed mat, slush mats, extra key, etc. whatever you would have bought anyway.

    Not a bad deal at all. Plus 2018s will become more scarce, so your choices will be become more limited and dealers won't make such good deals on 2019 models.

    My 2018 TRD Offroad 4x4 v6 double cab cement gray with only 3000 miles on it was 34,000 before taxes. I believe I got a great deal on it. Got my truck from carmax. Before carmax went to 3 dealerships and they didn't wanna negotiate with me on the price so I decided to go to carmax and after a year of looking found the truck I wanted. After taxes everything came out to 37,000 what you guys think? Also it still have toyota care on it, called the dealership and they said first oil change is at 10,000 miles, should I wait for that oil change or do it my self at 5000 miles?

    This seems $2k higher than I think a dealer would accept. You might be pleasantly surprised with what you hear if you tell them your walk offer is $34,900 plus sales tax title and license. (No fees, other crap they call tax etc.)

    Whatever you do, don't offer $34,900 and then move up....they will pounce.

    I have had the best success telling the sales guy I'm going home I have to call a couple of other dealers call me if you can meet my offer don't call me if you can't.

    Yes, the long beds only come in 4x4. Strangely the short wheelbase was/is available without 4x4

    Yeah, I think 35K is a reasonable target. If not a bit lower.

    Going to the Stealership this SAT for appointment.

    2018 Offroad 4X4 crewcab (short bed). Dealer is settling for $37K. Pretty standard specs otherwise. Should I haggle around $35K. He quoted me this 2 weeks ago and I didn't contact and he's been leaving me voicemails so I think they are getting desperate to push these last remaining '18s. This is the last 4x4 OR they have remaining on the lot. Trying to find that fine $$$ where I'm ready to walk out the door OR bite the trigger.

    Hate buying cars. LOL.

    Don’t go in until you’ve got to you’re price. Deal only through email and tell them they can do better on the price. Don’t tell them your bottom dollar because they might have even gone lower. It’s a waste of your time to go in there and let them dick around and try to make you take a shitty deal.

    I got my 2018 long bed TRD Off Road (with Tech Package, tube steps, and skid plate) two weeks ago for $34K. That included a $1,500 rebate from Toyota, which doesn't cost dealers anything. You should be able to negotiate a lower price than the dealer's $37K.

    In CA? I've seen some folks here got solid deals but out of state like Arizona, Texas, etc. The pricing down in the San Francisco area is freaking ridiculous and they barely move off the sticker price but continue to sell the Tacos due to the richer folks living down there.
