Got a new bike a few weeks ago. Finally had time to take it on a group ride. About to do the same as ^^, but finding a thru-axle mount that works with the front fork is tough, about to hack at one. Still using the Jeep rack.

I've not ridden ski bowl for ~20 years, looking forward to moving back to the PNW and riding there again.

it's a great place to ride when I don't feel like pedaling uphill and want to ride my DH rig. Timberline's bike park will be open next year with a great 3 year trail building plan being overseen by gravity logic (helped build some of whistler's finest)

I did, but they are so overpriced for what they are. I somehow ended up a free 15x100 from Amazon. Need to shave a few mm off each side and find some T-Nuts to bolt it to the rail. Also thought about just mounting it to a board like I did with my old Taco and strapping the bike down.

Dude you have a multi-thousand dollar bike lol. The least you could do is spend $250 on a decent system

True, the main advantage I see to spending more would be on a locking setup, but I already have a stout cable system. For now, I've already got what I need, just need to slightly modify it to make it work.

Anyone have a recommendation on a hitch tray rack other than 1Up?

I know 1Up is the top choice from most everyone, myself included, but I can get any of the other big name brands at about 40%.

The Yakima dr tray looks pretty nice. If I wasn’t a cheap ass and love the tailgate pad, I’d get that one.

It does look nice. I think it only accepts 26-29" wheels though. I have kids so I need as much wheel size range as I can get.

Tailgate pads are nice. I run a topper which make them a little more challenging. I currently run a fork mount on a 2x6 in the bed which is great for security. I'm just getting tired of taking the front wheel off. Yes folks, I know it isn't hard and only takes a few minutes; but I'm tired of it and would like to try a hitch mount.

@Coot83 Heard you're moving to Scottsdale? That should put you in reach of some good riding!

Edit: Checked trailforks, North and West Scottsdale is stacked with trails!
