Magellan Coolers from academy work great too. Highly recommended.

I have a RTIC 45 I'm happy with. When on sale they were like $140 I think. RTIC just opened a facility in Suwanee, GA also.

I’ll echo the same for RTIC. I’ve got a 45 and a smaller soft zip top cooler that I’ve been more than pleased with both. I bought them on sale and think I paid around $200ish shipped.

The sales happen on their website and are random so you will just have to wait it out and get lucky when it happens. You could call the new place in GA and see if they have a scratch and dent section they may save you some cash. My buddy has the RTIC 65 and it's a big ole thing haha. It loaded with ice and drink is not a one man job haha.

I got mine online when they were on sale. I paid $200 for mine but it seems they went up. For camping trips I tend to pre-cool them over night, but like last minute trips I try and pre-cool them just a bit. When packing up everything I throw some ice packs in first and then pack up the cooler last.

That's not a bad deal at all. Offer him $200 picked up for sure

Like the others stated, catch them on sale when you can. I think there was a posting in the ‘deals’ section that had a promo code not long ago. You could see if that’s still active.

As far as pre-cooling goes, I never have. It probably helps though. My 45 stays in the garage when not in use, and remains there until it’s needed. Eventually I’d like to add a 65 or bigger, but for now the mid size cooler fits the bill.

@MadDaddy Go to the site and use the code FB25 and you will get the 65 for $190.79 shipped. Just tried it. Add to cart, got to check out, enter promo code and scroll to bottom for order summary to make sure it's applied, then fill out rest and place order.

    Thanks,
I swung by Academy on my lunch break to look at the Magellan and Yeti. I read a lot of reviews that say the Magellan lid deforms in direct sunlight and doesn't seal. The Yeti is ridiculously priced. The RTIC seems to fit in between, price-wise and looks to be a quality product. Do they have vendors, or are they direct sale?
Does anyone have experience with Mammoth coolers? My company might be working with them soon and perhaps I can get a price break. The 65 looks perfect for a family of four, but it has latches similar to the Magellan, which I do not like as much as YETI, RTIC and ORCA latches:

For more than $100 less for a 65 I'd just order from RTIC.

AWESOME! That code gets me to $194, which is totally doable. That gets me into Magellan price territory. Thanks!

I remember when the only people up at Bell were hikers and when you could camp up there it was awesome, now Honda Civics can make it up :bananadead:
