I hope for the best for you too. I think I may have shed a tear or two if it happened to me. Hope your buddy feels better.

Appreciate it. I've got a few dealership offers I just rang up. Varying from $25K to $32K for my 2016 TRD Off Road 4x4 with 40.5K miles.

I'm in Houston though and the used market can be hard to predict with all the damaged vehicles via flooding over the last 3 years.

Best thing you can do is be educated on the values of these trucks and what it would cost you to replace it. Just remember that the first thing they offer you doesn't have to be the final offer. Kinda like when you bought it, never accept the first offer. Hopefully you will not need it and they fix it for you.

I love them so far. Not as quiet as the good years but that’s to be expected. Mpg is the same. I rub a little when the suspension is compressed and I’m turning

Trip average was 17.5mpg. On I-70 with a heavy headwind it went as low as 12.5mpg keeping to the 80mph speed limit. I normally add two more straps across the tent cover if I’m doing much freeway driving to help keep the bag from billowing too much.

Update on the accident, I will need a new frame (estimate cost from dealership is $6,500 FYI). All parts & labor from accident is close to $18,500. Texas is a 100% Total Loss Threshold state so I'd bargain that it will not end totaled since I've had actual cash offers from other dealerships all over $25K now. Granted the cost of the rental is factored in but mine is only $20/day.

I can request reimbursement for loss of value of vehicle in Texas but that $$$ is added to the pot for TFT so I've got to find the sweet spot.

Anyone have any ideas on what kind of loss in value I am looking at for a 2016 TRD OR 4x4 with a brand new frame and rebuild lol?

So I asked my used car manager here about the diminished value for you. His words were thousands if they don't report it as frame damage on the carfax. If it is reported anywhere as frame damage they would not even take it as a trade or buy it from you. Frame damage is the worst possible thing for value. Sorry man.

What if I received a brand new frame? I appreciate the advice though...

Unfortunately it doesn't matter. Frame damage is frame damage. If they pull it or replace it, it sends everyone into a panic. Our dealership will not buy, trade or sell anything that has frame damage reported. Just opens a can of worms that is not worth it to us. That being said if you are going to keep it for ten years you and then sell it on your own you will be fine. And all of this is coming from our experience up here in the great state of Pennsylvania could be a whole different ball game down there in Texas.

I just noticed that there is no Blazing Blue Pearl color offered for 2019. They have a Calvary Blue color now, I myself do not like it at all. They also have Voodoo Blue for only select models. So glad I bought my 2018 TRD Sport. I was worried they might change colors for 2019 so i pulled the trigger in June.
