Good to see posts like this. I retired from machining and machine shop management a few years ago. Miss the production life. Spent roughly 35 years in the trade. Everything from USN sub components, ship components, aircraft parts, machine tool manufacturing, tool and die work, running manual machines to 5 axis horizontal cnc mills. Worked my way through QA, supervision, manufacturing engineering and finally project management for a USN contractor. Miss it. Have some hobby machines for the garage. Fantastic trade. Good luck with finding quality skilled workers.

What is making you consider selling the ride? I thought you just got done doing what you wanted to the truck? I couldn't imagine selling my truck although to be honest, I don't know what I could even consider replacing it with unless it was a full out LT race rig.

 

Mostly trying to pay off some wedding bills. Don't have to sell the truck but will for the right price. On a similar topic I'm annoyed with Toyota. Too long between model changes and when they do roll them out theyre already behind. The new 3.5 is a joke and so is it's mpg's. The thing that really pissed me off was driving 6 hours with my trailer and having the drive shaft vibration almost make me nauseous. My previous Tacoma had the same problems as well as my brother's. He had them replace his radio twice and still had problems. Had the stitching from his seat come apart at 30k. Let's not forget the frame rust issue that's been around for 20+ years with no improvement. My next truck will be a F150.

BTW, my 2005 didn't have any these issues. And I liked it's mechanical LSD that didn't try to kill me when it rains.

 

Did you do a front end conversion on your 2011? I thought that front didnt start till 2012
