I jokingly mentioned a V10 Taco yesterday. While such a motor is hugely impractical, I wouldn’t mind seeing a small V8 as an engine option. Maybe the 4.6? It seems underpowered for the Tundra, but perfect for the Tacoma.

    Or a boosted flat 6.

I second that. It is how I pulled myself in, now it is a little harder.

While numbers 8 and 9 would be nice, unfortunately both of those add weight which is something the tacoma does not need.

    Needs to cut weight.

Never gonna happen, they won't put in a bigger v6 let alone a v8.

Previous gen colorado had it, didn't sell much. Then again the truck in general i don't think did well.

If you want it, you will have to buy a crate engine, tranny and lots of imagination and modifying yourself.

Anything is possible. Performance costs money, how fast you want to go and how much cash you got.

Yeah, the reverse gearing grinds my gears. I smoked it going up to my in law's garage. I feel like I have to get a running start.

Just an FYI.. You can change the touch entry to unlock all doors or driver's door only. Option is found in the lock settings portion of vehicle settings via Entune.

I'm not too crazy about the seats. I got a seriously messed up back and they're incredibly firm. Remote lock tailgate. Sound proofing. That's just for starters

That and Blind Spot Monitors built into the (brake) Side Lights (rear) for those of us that want an After Market
Heavy Duty Rear Bumper to replace that Tin Foil Factory Rear Bumper. Currently only one
aftermarket place has one available to incorporate the BSM.

I wish the Truck had a thicker gauge metal body and steel bumpers.
    Steel Bed
    A substantial power plant
    Adjustable seats
Not have everything feel so cheap and light.
Toyota figured out how to make this truck as cheap as possible while still commanding a premium price.
I love the size of the truck but I miss the solid feel and power of my full size Chevy and Fords.

    Every car/truck can use improvement..
    • Power seats for sure
    • Cooled seats (you can get heated seats but in South Texas in the summer you need COOLED seats, every time I rent a car that has them I wish mine did.)
    • Drivers side grab handle (no idea why they left this out)
    • Rear passenger HVAC controls and vents
    • FULL roll down rear window (Like the Tundras)
    • Push button and keyless entry on the MT
    • Remote start on the MT (and NO it is not a safety issue if set up properly with safety switches. I had it on several MT cars in the past)
    • and finally fender flares that don't look incomplete... They look like an afterthought

Yup, this is one thing I like about the Colorado. A friend of mine has one and definitely makes it easier to get to the bed when the tailgate is down.

About the feel, I just don't get that impression from the full sized trucks. I haven't been in the newest ones, but the ones from just a generation back felt way cheaper on the interior than the Tacos. That's just me though.
