CMC is pretty irreversible, haha. I would do the Pinch weld also, if you did the CMC. I would think you'd rub that (or the plastic that covers it) before hitting the cab mount. That was the case for me. I hammered the pinch weld, since I was rubbing that, and then the CMC later, since I was rubbing that also once the pinch weld was out of the way.

I hate them as well. When I sold Toyota's a lifetime ago I would offer to remove them when I delivered a vehicle. My current Tacoma did not come with one on it strangely enough.

Oh yea, I had a similar spec wheel to what Im currently running mounted on to test fit. It didn't hit the pinch weld but was getting into the cab, which was cut back. I trimmed all the plastics that were being in contact with the tire just to clear daily driving for now.

Thank you for the prompt. Your comment got me to check Toyota dot com. Signed on and saw that there was an open recall previous owner never resolved. Scheduled the appointment for both for next week.

Enjoying so far was wither the 4S or the LT , and based on my driving thought the 4S the call for me , I do drive on dirt and gravel roads , but not really an aggressive off-roading type. But the tires should def. handle anything this winter kicks out . Good luck with your choice

Tire shine has never touched my tires. The tires are actually wet from a rare and overdo power washing:thumbsup:

I'm exactly 100k miles ahead of ya

Turned 150k, but haven't treated her to anything new in a few months. Will be replacing the 265 Wildpeaks for some 285 ST Maxx or STT Pros soon. Maybe a HC rear bumper if I can get a decent Black Friday deal :spending:
