Your boosted though right? I'm a bone stock 3RZ, no issues besides my driveline vibes so I think my cat is fine. Just never noticed the warm floorboard. Guess its normal

It was at the halfway mark on the dial. 66 is chilly outside to me.

yeah I suspect most of the damage was done by the previous owner, I always babied it (still do for the most part) but there were times when the pinging was just unavoidable. 7th injector helped which I installed a little over a year ago, but the damage was done by then and I got the dreaded P0420 code a few months after that. Ended up the front cat was bad but I just replaced both with Magnaflows (CARB) for way less than what OEM cats cost. Been almost a year now running those and all has been well

 

I just assumed it was because of the lean issues I had prior to the 7th, don't have any rich running issues at least as far as I can tell now that I have the AFR gauge. But the pinging when I first got the truck was bad and I have no idea how long and how hard the previous owner ran it like that

 

Running rich usually fouls out cats, but you can kill them from being lean too it usually takes a lot longer

Not yet, I have a lecture in about an hour and I'll go drop by the U-Haul store right after. Closest Horror Freight is back in my hometown, so U-Haul will have to do.

I threw the 2" drop hitch I already had and it just looked silly. 7 3/4ths is the biggest economy drop hitch they make, so I'll go pick that one up.

That might not be enough with your lift, may drag your trailers ass like that

 

How much of a drop hitch do you think I need? The receiver sits about 27" from the ground.

 

That was my other concern because the cat went bad a few months after I installed the 7th...thinking maybe it was overcompensating with too much added fuel but the pinging is still there (just not as bad) ...is it possible to run overly rich and too lean at the same time? Separate causes for each one maybe?
