Well done, this is outstanding. Really appreciate the work you put into this.

For clarification, please: does the discount apply to just Xpel branded stores or does it include authorized retailers?

Good to know. Could you please go into depth about the process, product, and longevity?

I talked with the manager of the Austin location and it seemed like it was in store and online. I will bring this up when I speak with him again. If anyone else has any other questions let me know so I can either answer it or ask it when I talk to him again.

Yep. I didn't think it was either. 70 is as dark as you can go. They have a new tint that blocks 90% of the heat.

Copying from old Corvette Forum as that site is littered in ads now...

I Had a partial front end clear bra on my car and had a full front end bra done at Pleasant Details in Mt. Pleasant SC. They also allowed me to do some touch up on the front end with the Dr. color chip system I had purchased while the car was on a lift surrounded by fluorescent lights. Not very forgiving at all. I could have been there all day. I didn't get any pics of that process though. But I am giving a huge thumbs up on the Dr. color chip. Worked great. Then the car was completely swirl removed and waxed and polished. Sad to say it needed it bad. You can see it in the first pic. Then the clear bra install. It is the complete hood, front fenders, headlight covers, headlight lenses, licence plate filler, turn signals and mirrors. all of the edges are wrapped over the edge so the is no visible seams. The emblems were removed and put on over the bra, as opposed to my last kit that was computer cut to go around them. All of it was cut by hand for a perfect fit. Top notch work! Some removal pics and install. And a forum member discount to boot. Took only three days, and that is with a one day cure in the sun at the shop so it could be monitored. I almost forgot that my car was actually black. Enough talk. Here you go!

    As for my thoughts:

I did a lot of research back then on what company to go with and came out with Xpel
The old clear bra was horrid
the price was really nice (around 1100 iirc for what was done in South Carolina in early 2012)
I only had the car for about 8 more months after that unfortunately so can't say firsthand what the longevity is like, but from research I was happy with what I read that lead me to installing it.

    TL;DR

If I were to get a clear film again... Hands down would go with XPel

damn I miss my vette... :pout:
This is pre XPel right after I got the new 427 installed. Tune was very rough as noticed at end with the smoke show...

But 427 V8 with long tube headers and no cat back.... so much secks!

ignore the 7 years younger version of me too...

also... passenger rear fender, that white looking chunk of missing fiberglass... was at that house. Fucking mailbox. not a cheap fix. anyway

    rumble rumble vroom...
