Same here! I like the TechTron stuff too. Before they switched over to the TechTron stuff they used to carry heatshrink from KT&T, same brand as the mesh wire sleeve I buy from Frys. They were clearing out the KT&T heatshrink for cheap so I bought as much as I could in the sizes & colors I used often. My stash is getting smaller now but I still have plenty.

If you don't have a similar place near you, you should check out All Ellectronics. I know you would love that place. It's a surplus electronics supply shop & I go there often cause they usually have what I need for cheap. They do ship but not sure how cheap their shipping is.

My last little project that I used them for was installing my components for the front doors. I used Delphi Weatherpack connectors from them. Overkill for my needs but it was the first thing I saw that was 4-pin & wasn't prewired. I'm lucky they are local to me, I love that place.

Very nice. I used Molex connectors to wire my 4WD indicator lights to my dash, also from Fry's.

I love the stuff. They manufacture it out in Santa Clara, right outside San Jose. Best heatshrink I've ever used.

Speaking of Sears. This is one of the reasons why they will go belly up.

Got $100 worth of impact sockets for $4.84 with tax last week. Made in China & I didn't really need them but they were practically free. I really only needed one socket, a 24mm short but I would have paid more for one socket than I did for these 1/2" & 3/8" sets.

How you managed to find something in the Craftsmen aisle of a closing Sears is beyond me. I had to dig through piles of crap to find that hose reel I bought. EVERYTHING that resembled a tool was long gone.

Does anyone else wish they had more dry storage in their extended cab?

yeah I don't think anyone's surprised to see them filing for bankruptcy, it was only a matter of time...they knew it themselves I'm sure which is why they've been closing stores all over and marking things down for dirt cheap.

It's a shame that Orchard is closing too...I have one right down the street and usually just hop over there to get tools and stuff I need.

99% of my tools and stuff I want to keep dry gets thrown into my trailer tongue box.

I use all the space behind the seats as dry storage. More than enough for camping trips and such, I don't really use my tacoma for anything else anymore

I would have been fine using Molex connectors but my Local Fry's sucks at restocking stuff. I haven't found any Molex stuff that I could use in years. It's sad but everytime I go to Fry's they have less & less inventory as well as customers. My local Fry's used to be so busy & long lines for the registers on the weekends. Not anymore. I hate to say it but I think they may go belly up too soon. I hope not!

I carry people in the back seats more than I actually use it for storage.

Every single person that had rode back there hated it.

No you're right, I can see that.

I have never seen a store with so many registers before. Is 90 registers really necessary?

Pretty much any brick and mortar store than can't adapt or keep up with Amazon's business model is going to go the way of Sears, Orchard, Toys R Us, etc. over the next several years. It's a new era

Yeah I never offered to drive in college, no reason to subject anyone to that. I have an SUV and never use the back seats, we just use my roommates car for quick trips cause it gets like 40mpg

The Sears that is the closest to me actually has a good amount of inventory of Craftsman sockets ratchets, & wrenches but I rarely buy stuff from them. They're one of the more profitable ones in my area. The next closest one already closed down last year.

I was always the person who drove people around in High School, and I don't mind I love driving. In retrospect, I wish I had a double cab.

If something happened to my PreRunner, it's getting replaced with a 2001-2002 double cab. If I can get a good deal on one, then I'll get a 2012-2015 DCLB.

I heard that they put a pause on their bankruptcy filings or whatever it was but they still shut down all of their stores...did someone buy them out?
