You may have a loose connection on a hose or hose damage somewhere allowing air in.

 

I haven't done the mod yet. But I've had trouble with other cheaper nozzles doing that

 

Any feedback? I have two in my Amazon cart rt now, waiting to order.

I want to replace the hose from the tank to the nozzles to, do you have a link or hose size?

No. All fluid goes in nice "fan pattern" to the windshield. I don't know what was the problem before I installed Odyssey nozzles, but it felt like fluid was backing up after some time - it took few seconds of fluid pump running before the fluid start out of the nozzle. After installing Odyssey nozzles, the fluid starts spraying without delay.

I aimed the spray at the the upper part of the windshield (about 2/3) while stationary and the god thing the spray stays at the same place also while running at 55mph (I had no chance to drive at higher speeds yet). So overall this mod while not relatively cheap (26 dollars for sprayers) is one of the best for the money - I rate it the same as Redline Tuning hood lift.

 

Yes. It leaves the pattern of fluid on my hood between the nozzle and cowl.

I did this yesterday. Mine leaves a small puddles in front of the nozzles when done. I may try new lines. But otherwise they work well.

So snow is already here yesterday and today coming down strong.
This is the first work out these Honda nozzels have been put to use.
They pass with flying colors.
At 70 mph they hit the center of the windshield perfectly and standing still too.

Second that. In my truck the side effect was that the washer fluid does not back up anymore. It was strange that with original factory nozzles I had to pull the washer switch for a good second before the spray started (with wipers scraping dry windshield). With Honda nozzles the spray is instant.

 

I noticed that as well. The spray is almost instant with the newer nozzles vs the stock ones.

Has anyone else noticed if it's making their windshields dirtier where the wiper blades don't reach? Like in the middle near the bottom or the upper corners.

Still getting fluid on the side windows too if I spray while driving. I'll see if I can get some pictures later.

Also getting the puddles on the hood that others are seeing. But the spray coverage is worth it.

 

Nothing’s better than in the field testing.

Ours are working great in 95-100 F temps

 

Lately I noticed that the spray coming out of the nozzles of my 2009 Tacoma is really weak and anemic. I read all through this threads and did the air pressure clean to all the rubber parts, removed the nozzles and soaked them in CLR... but no avail... still very weak.
I would like to try the Honda Odyssey

76810-TK8-A01 As they seem to do a great job on a 1st gen... My question is will they fit on a second gen Tacoma?

Not that particular model but a similar one with the hose barb towards the back would. Like this.


Just remove your sprayers to confirm the hose barb orientation.

 

Thank you se7enine , the barb is oriented towards the back. So the one in the pick should fit? Will I need to do any modifications or is it plug and play?

Just want to thank you guys for this thread, especially se7enine for doing all that testing and video. I recently broke one of mine while removing the hose to try and clear a clog, and I picked up these guys off Amazon for like 21.50 for the pair. I had to replace the reservoir as well, and all new tubes coming in with that, will update with how it works when I get them in!

 

Cyrioulydylan, your link doesn't show the nozzles... do you drive a first gen, second or third gen tacoma. I have a second gen and my original nozzles are not working properly... just hope to find a good replacement...

Why did you have to change the reservoir and hoses?

 

He probably drives a first gen since this is in the first gen section. You may have better luck in the 2nd gen section

 

Yes a first gen. I had to change the reservior because the upper part of it, sort of the funnel bit broke into a million pieces, and some bits got into the pump and hoses and nothing worked anymore:


I couldn't pass inspection in my state without the wiper fluid working, so I had to replace pretty much all of it. Unfortunately no junkyards in my area had the correct reservoir, but I found a new one with a pump for around $60.
