I have to ask, are you guys really comfortable riding around in your truck? I think the single cab tacos are awesome looking but can't see anyone riding around too comfortably...
Although maybe that's because I doubt I would at 6 ft 2 :frusty:

I was very skeptical at first about purchasing a single cab, but now that i have had one for a year i love it. The price was right so i went with the purchase. Once i get all of my suspension and tires on i only imagine i will love it more! My suggestion is try to find yourself a 5 speed.

I am 6 ft tall, and if push the seat all the way back, I can't push the clutch in all the way, or really reach the rest of the pedals easily. The 2nd gen regular cabs are very roomy (for passengers), compared to 1st gens (heck, my cousin has a 1st gen double cab, and when I drive it, I push the seat all the way back, and I still need more room .

I'm 6'4" and I don't even have the seat all the way back. Is it something I would want to drive a 100 miles everyday, absolutely not, but for a daily driver of 5 miles and getting stuff done, it's fine.

I was riding around a bit in a 1st Gen with a 5 speed over the weekend it was pretty fun :D
Although the seat slider was jammed nearly all the way forward so I didn't get a feel for comfort

I agree completely, i drive 3 miles to work and 1.5 miles to school, i have taken the taco on 2 journies over 300 miles one way, with a good alignement and balanced tires she will ride like a dream. My second trip i had just gotten my tires rotated and i had a slight vibration but nothing that didnt even out over a couple of miles. Ill keep my yota forever, no intentions on selling her!

I'm 6ft without my work boots on and fit comfortably. I personally prefer my bucket seat swap over the bench seat, or try and find an SR5 or a newer base model with buckets. I've driven the truck to Charleston, SC 3 times (15 hours one way) and to camp in Maine 3 times (6 hours one way) and it's not bad at all. The truck goes all over the place honestly

Also a more updated pic of the truck. I really need to update my build thread. And one of the "new to me" Tundra I bought 2 weeks ago

    Appreciate the answers guys
Another couple questions if you don't mind, is it that big of a space difference between the 1st & 2nd Gen? What kind of mpg are you guys getting, with larger tires?
    Lots of thoughts

    Everything and the kitchen sink.
I think the driver has plenty of room but I've had passengers knees in the dash, gotta go buckets if you want individual space. I'm getting about 14 mpg armored with cap and 255/85/16 granted I drive it in high rpms (4th gear) for highways in Texas.

    5spd with 285s (59lbs) and a lift I'm getting a solid 17.5.

Before lift and with 265/75 mud terrains (55lbs) I was at 19ish. Never really broke 20.

I like it, way more room and storage than I know what to do with. It's a 2011, price was $23k and they gave me $7k trade on my DCSB. $0 cash down and added gap protection came to $364 a month. I have a shit interest rate, I have good credit, just not strong credit.

2014 Tundra for $29k at a different dealer with $6k trade in and $0 cash down was going to be about $460 a month before adding additional things on with the finance manager. Told them to pound sand on the trade in

I know when I am in my cousin's 1st gen, and someone is sitting in the passenger seat, our shoulders would be touching, and in my 2nd gen, there are still a few inches between me and my passenger. The interior room in a 2nd gen is just a lot more than the 1st gen. I do about 90% highway driving, and I get 21-23 mpg with my 265/75 BFGs.
