What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

My buddy I go wheel with shines up his tires before every trip. Cracks me up.

 

I’m not hating the move as I have ST Maxx’s myself, but I’d like to hear your experience with the Wildpeaks.

 

How much lift u got

 

They're a much better street tire than the KO2's they replaced. Off road they're decent, but don't clear mud for shit (as expected with an AT tire) and as they've worn down they're getting noticeable louder. Still grip incredibly well on wet pavement, rocks, and snow. I just want the extra clearance and mall crawl points from 285s

Also want the wider lugs on the ST Maxx's. How do you like them?

Around ~2.5" with 886 coils and medium duty dakars.

Got one 1/4 of my suspension replaced..

 

But then I broke a socket adapter and socket wrench on the last bolt(lower shock mount).. Time to buy some more tools

 

While you get more tools think about getting the Total Chaos UCAs. I love them!

 

I hope UCAs are coming soon! Might be just the picture, but the angle of your OEM UCA is sketchy. At full droop it may contact the coil.

 

I was on a roll too! After I fought with the driver side, I finally got the old coil over out.. That damned sway-bar and UCA

It isn't just the picture. There is a lot of droop at the moment and is in contact with the coil. I am hoping once I'm done it will settle

Milestone!

 

Even after settling, you'll still hit max droop and contact the coil. UCAs are a must if running 5100s with Aftermarket coils. I have stock coils on mine, and I'm safe at the second from bottom notch. I can't go higher without UCAs. I'd definitely start doing your homework on this. Especially with a top hat spacer. There was another thread where someone was running 5100s on toytec coils I believe with spacers and it was causing his UCAs to contact the coils, which is no bueno. If yours are touching it's also no bueno. I'll be going SPC UCAs and OME 886 coils on down the line.

 

I've got 3k more till I hit that milestone!

 

I went with the 884 coils from @HeadStrong Off-Road so that I wouldn't need to replace the UCA's but I thought it was due to alignment issues at 3" or higher lift. I didn't think that they would hit the stock UCA at full drop. I have a buddy that did this kit with 885's and didn't have any issues. He had a shop install it though so maybe he just never knew..
