Need a mental health, get away from everything weekend... Looking for a nice place to hit some trails and then camp in primitive type camping location..... I am located in Delaware but willing to travel to surrounding states for an adventure..... Any and all recommendations are welcome! I appreciate any suggestions.... Help!!

Lots of logging roads to explore in northwest Maine. Probably a long drive from Delaware but the foliage can't be beat this time of year.

There’s a lot to see in Virginia (shouldn’t be too far of a drive from you) look up flag pole knob. Maybe @Chux can share some info

Absolutely love Virginia..... I have been to Peters Mill in August, and that’s certainly an option to head back down and do some exploring maybe there or Flagpole.....

@Colt0208 check out freecampsittes.net it gives a good variey of camping.. I seek out mostly primitive sites.

Like @JLink said, FPK is a good mix of wheeling, camping, and views.

WOW! Gorgeous up there! It's definitely on my short list of places I want to explore! Looks like you would be a good resource for planning a trip!

I'm normally the "guy with a map" on trips .

Maine isn't hard to travel in. The dirt roads are just as fun as some of the trails. The western part of the state is where it's all at. Basically I do from the white mtns in NH to Mt Katahdin in Maine. Bring a spare. Bring a radio. And some ditch lights never hurt because you will get caught on a trail at night and there are more deer and moose than people out there.
