A few hrs. I think it's 15 miles or something around there. Without a big group slowing you down it shouldn't take long at all.

Yea the holes that are cut for access to the clutch handle are in a pretty good position to plug in the controller. I don't really like the positioning of the controller but that's the fault of the winch manufacturer, not SOS. I'd love to have the control box in the cab, or at least some relay circuit.

From 40, down hurricane, to max patch I’d say around 3 hours max. Can be done in 1.5-2 depending on how dry the trail is and how many folks in your group

Yeah with the way trucks and SUVs are getting these days if you want to hide the control box they need to have the ability to be more remote out of the box instead of having to modify them to work.

    And I corrected myself.
"Stabalizer bar". Which is basically what an anti sway bar does when you disconnect it for off road use. Gives you a softer ride and "floats" the vehicle more.
That's pretty much all you gain off road with it. You don't gain any additional articulation, correct?

The articles I chose were all overland forums from owners of vehicles equipped with KDSS.

Oh, and Wikipedia. Which pretty much said the same thing that the owners with KDSS equipped vehicles said.

Hard cornering, evasive maneuvers, nose diving. Yes, it comes into play.
But normal everyday driving when the pressure in the hydraulic system are normal/level. It does nothing more than the beefy anti sway bar that's already equipped on those vehicles.

    Sound about right?

It used to be a hydraulic system that connected the shocks corner to corner didn't it?

Except the standard sway bar is nothing more than what’s equipped on the normal Tacoma/4Runner. It’s not beefy at all. The KDSS stabilizer bar is pretty stout and it does connect directly to the lower control arms instead of a link.
    Thats XREAS you’re thinking of

All I know is I am glad I have an 05 with none of this fancy schmancy stuff that adds complexity and more stuff to break.
