You must! Like already said, go to the N rim. Far more scenic and less tourists. And there’s bison!

Serious. I’m interested. I need to make this drive myself. I’ve got all the maps. But only some of the intel.

    Yea yea yea.
I don’t admit this often... GC is amazing. Zion is amazing. The best tho? Not to me. I hear people all the time going gaga over these two but I just don’t see what they see. For me, places like the Sierra Nevada high country, Roosevelt NP, American Prairie Res etc are the tops.

On two different family trips out west my younger sisters had the most interesting of observations

First we all got out of the truck at the petrified forest and the one sister said “hey where’s all the trees?”

The other sister when she was 10 was taken out on desert day trip on private land to see wall paintings and the rim of the Grand Canyon, all the way she was anticipating seeing the “Grand Canyon” when we got to the rim she said “that’s it? It’s a big hole” my uncle who’s land we were on was like “whut the front yard are you serious?”

I sent in my B/C Permit request in on Monday morning and received confirmation yesterday to stay a Tuweap CG for a few nights. It was an impromptu decision to head toward Toroweap after a friend recommended that I visit if I'm in the area. Thinking I'll head towards GC-Parashant National Monument after Tuweap. If you want to join your more than welcome, along with any TW'ers. I'm headed that way for the nights of the 31st and the 1st.

Bokeh is just anything that is out of focus. One of those things that gets overcomplicated easily

It was the most evil sky I ever saw. I think it’s a photo the WEATHER CHANNEL would cream their pants over! Lol

Unless you are in The group site, you are limited to 2 vehicles. If the permit was that easy, I may see if there’s another and grab a second site.

With as quick as they got me the permit and seeing that Monday was Columbus Day I’d be willing to bet there’s not many reservations. With the N.Rim visitor center closing on Oct 15th I’m guessing there’s going to be less activity.

Wait... it’s not the spider thread?

Not to mention the Grand Canyon should be fairly photogenic.

May all your spiders be slightly out of focus on honor of bokeh.

Eh is there another challenge for this week?:bored:

Nothing like a good ole cattle fence in the wild west of Wyoming.

I’m new to photography. I just got what I think was a good deal: Canon EOS T5 for only 70$ 9DDAAFDB-85E2-4214-BAC0-8F534B4B735F.jpgI was wondering if someone has experience with this camera and could point me in the right direction as to which are the settings that you used?
Sorry to post here but this seems to be the only photography thread to be alive.
