No idea. I dropped it off on a Monday for what was supposed to be a quick swap of a bad body control module, but they ordered the wrong part so I had the Fiesta for 3 days. Then they called on Wednesday and said they ordered the wrong part again and it would be another two days. Then they called on Friday said that they'd ordered the correct part but that Ford had shipped the wrong one (right) and that they had another one coming but it wouldn't be there until the following Wednesday. At that point I was sick of it and told them that I wasn't making an F150 payment every month for the joys of driving a Fiesta, so they could either make my truck payment for the month or they could get me a truck for a loaner and I didn't care if they had to pull a brand new one off of the lot to do it.

Lo and behold I got a brand-new F150 from the new car lot for the rest of the time they had my truck, but at that point I was so unimpressed that I never went back to that dealership again, even though they were by far the closest and most convenient one for the oil change & rotation package I'd bought. And then I traded the truck 10 months after that, so it was a moot point anyway. :notsure:

They just gave my FIL a tundra while he gets the frame replaced on his sequoia. Initially they gave him a loaded highlander but he can’t tow anything with it which means he couldn’t fish so they swapped it.

    Hey all,

when I work on my truck I put these yellow haz-mat absorbent pads under my truck...They work great and absorb everything...it was great doing my oil change...anywho we get 20 of these pads stacked up with every delivery at work so we always have tons sitting around. If anyone ever wants a stack of them and is in the rt9 to rt95 on 495 area let me know and I throw some at you as a speed bye :)

    I think they are these

Oil diapers. Loves those. I get them sometimes. Usually they're onsite.

I'll have to see if I can work a link up when cruising through.

Wish I got a Tacoma as rental while my frame is done, but I got a 2018 Camry instead, which was fine, except it was winter, and we were expecting snow...

I read an interesting article about braking and at first I disagreed but the more I thought through it, the more it make sense.

If you can immediately lock/activate ABS in a panic situation, brakes aren’t the limited factor in your stopping performance and the best brake kit in the world won’t affect your ultimate braking distance. That doesn’t take into consideration fade such as in heavy towing and racing situations. You can change brake feel (more aggressive pads, stainless lines, etc) but tires get you more than brakes.

Sure, the Brembos on my STi felt great and were night and day compared to my Accord with disc/drum in terms of confidence but the 235 series Pilot Super Sports I had on there sure beat the 215 Kelly summer tires I had.

I could engage ABS at the drop of a hat with the electric brake booster on my ‘13 with the KOs on it and that never happened with the Hankook snows. The brakes felt better with the highway tread tires.

Yessir - haven't gotten them mounted yet - been busy with other stuff. These rims went from being affordable to being worth a lot of money... the powdercoating wasn't cheap but they did an amazing job for the condition of the rims. The previous owner of them sand blasted them with bead or something and totally fucked up surface.

Sorta relevant, but when I drive by other taco's I always wave, and I take special notice of the 1st gen's I see. I figure they are old, they have been taken care of and the owner is probably a big taco guy, especially since half of them are jacked up with big tires sticking out I can spot from a mile away..

8/10 I see are women drivers. I almost never see men driving them no matter how jacked up, muddy or "work equipped" they seem. I know it's sexist of me to assume they are going to be men...but I do. Gonna have to reshape some of my thinking! Hell, my service advisor I dropped my truck off to the other day was a woman and she had one too.

    Morning all.
Having spent a fair amount of time in the auto service industry, the short answer is 'yes' but really the fact that you're a girl and attractive is usually all it takes. The 'truck' part is just a bonus.
