Well given the two scenarios there. Dude shows up with a girl, dude shows up by himself. Chances are both times he's "unavailable" .hahaha

I actually had to threaten my techs with a write-up during the summer months because they lacked all subtlety. One of them would spot a 'looker' through the window out into the service bays and they'd all come stampeding in to lean on the counter and stare.

Funny part is that later in life I worked at a very large NH college welding pipe. Got good at putting horse blinders on

At dealerships I've worked at it was the same. The guys were like prisoners that hadn't seen a woman in years.

And no, girls really aren't like that haha. Doubt they're doing the same thing in female dominated work places

Girls are a lot more subtle about it. I worked in a chiropractor's office for a few years. All of the other Chiro assistants were women in their 30's and 40's, and when the guy from Poland Spring (tall & fairly well-built) arrived to swap the full bottles for the empties for the water cooler in the waiting room the word was spread around the office so they could all find a reason to walk by and greet him. But they didn't just hang out and stare at him the whole time. Working in an office full of women was...eye-opening... for a guy in his early 20's.

It's nice, it's an SLT so it's a similar package to mine, step below the Denali. I like driving it but it's weird looking. It's the gas model but one of my snowmobiling buddies, who has a trailer similar to mine, has the '18 Colorado diesel Denali. He says it tows the trailer no problem and it has the integrated brake controller... I am skeptical but he's not too much of an idiot so he may be right.

I have to admit, crooked steering wheel aside the cabins of the new GM's are nice places to be. Especially if you get the SLE/SLT packages (or the LTZ, if it's a Chevy). The 2500 that I drove when I was test-driving trucks had an awesome interior and rode like a half ton, but it was $$

Yeah, I really like the layouts. I think the Fords have the nicest interiors but now after living with mine for a while I really like my GMC. My dealer is on the hunt for a 2500 with the Vortec in a demo or possibly a very low mileage trade for me, but he says that is a very rare beast.

Any of you happen to see the MPG announcement on GM's 2.7? It's rated 2-3 MPG less than Ford's 2.7. This is in a truck that makes less power, tows significantly less, and even has cylinder deactivation.

I try not to be too biased against GM, but with stuff like that it's hard to take them seriously.

Yeah, it's not enough motor for the truck, I think. Unless you're driving a short bed, single cab 2wd you're always going to be in the boost.

Edit- They run into the same problem with the Malibu; it's got a 1.5 turbo and a 2.0 turbo option. The 2.0 makes better power, is faster to 60 and passes better as a result, but gets the same or better MPG in real-world driving, from what I've read.

You sound like me when I see a guy driving a Subaru Forester :anonymous:
You gotta be real careful on college campuses, most of them are very strict and have absolutely no tolerance for ogling the students (even though they're all legally adults at that point). Most of the projects I work on now have barricades to physically block the construction crews from the rest of the world.
The Colorado diesel actually does seem to have a good reputation for towing. I watched the TFL reviews and it did really well. Not a race car with a trailer in tow, but seemed to do pretty well given it's size.

Yep. I basically called one my home for 3 years. But it's really no different than anything else. All jokong aside, at the end of the day it's about being professional and making money .

It's that 'being professional' part that seems to escape a lot of people... Generally, most people are decent enough at quietly admiring and not making it overly well known that they're watching an attractive passer-by. The rest of them, well sometimes they just need a day off to be alone with their thoughts.
