Knocking noise

    I have an 2006 Tacoma 4x2 V6 and coming home from the gym tonight right as i went into drive and accelrated i heard a loud knocking noise coming from what i think was the passenger side of the engine. it continued all the way till i got home but didnt happen when the truck was in neutral any suggestions??

    Was it a knock or more of a click? Did it go off randomly? Did it increase in speed as the truck increased in speed?

    knock, for the most part it stayed the same with more speed

    Louder, softer with increased speed,.....is it random?

    getting there....
    check the air box tube where it goes into the fender. it could be loose and vibrating when you are driving.

    The pin that holds on the brake pads(small pin held on by codder pin) worked its way out and was smashing around in my tire. thanks for the suggestions though

    New to this stuff. Sorry Dont know how to link but you could find it under gen dis. Knocking noise between 1000 - 2000 rpm.
