I'm now jealous of all that space available under the hood for a 2nd battery, on-board air (or both).

Never knew those break easily. Mine have never broke. Only the side seat panel was broken when I got the truck & it was only 3 yrs old. That part commonly breaks. I replaced it & it has never broke for me since. Mechanicjon also sells reinforcement plates for it.

The 01-04 knobs are 55905-35310. Note 01-04 knobs are different than pre 01. I just replaced mine a week ago. What's wrong with yours? They look good other than the clip is missing. Sometimes the clip does not come off with the knob & stays on the climate control assy. If that's the case, need to pull the clips off, insert back into the knobs, then reinstall the knobs.

I'm converting one of these. Which radiator did you end up using and have you had heat problems with it? Which fan setup also?

Stock v6 tacoma radiator that was used for the 3.4. I read my guages off my iPad that is connected to a Bluetooth obd reader. I wheel it hardcore and the highest temp i have ever seen is 210 degrees. It likes to stay around 190-200. And an electric fan from Amazon. That is programmed to run when the engine reaches 200degrees. So its harldy on unless it gets to 200 degrees

Do you have a picture of what you're describing? That part might be causing this one to break...

I don't atm. on the knob, that D shaped hole, there should be a D shaped piece of black metal that goes in there. Often it doesn't come off & stay in the knob. Look at your climate contol, on the white posts for the knobs, see if you see the black D shaped clips still on there. If yes, pull them off & insert them back into the knobs. If you just leave the clips on the posts & try to put the knob back on, usually you won't be able to & forcing the knobs on will break them.

I looked all over the floor, gear shifter area, and white post. The knob itself is in good condition, but the little D shaped piece apparently dropped off somewhere w/o me noticing until we put everything back together. We'd replaced the instrument light with led 194's.

Damn that sucks! Hopefully it turns up. As far as I know you can't buy those seperate from Toyota.

No what's confusing is why there is a high lift jack strapped into the bed of a tacoma with an 18 foot long floresnt orange rachet strap.
