it will be an interesting game, not taking anything from Georgia, but even being "unproven" if LSU can magically win it will look huge for them and me a major season momentum swing.

I've said this to coworkers, if LSU loses to Georgia chalk up losses against MSU and Alabama to make 4 L's in a row....but if they beat Georgia, I wouldn't want to be where MSU is on the schedule and I think they'd have the momentum to go into the Bama game and give a fight.

This game will dictate a lot.

I hate Auburn, right? That's a given. However, that hate comes simply from the in-state rivalry. Only added to by games like "Punt, Bama, Punt" and the "Kick 6". That's legendary in-state rivalry stuff though. You need that.

I HATE when Alabama plays LSU. It is a different hate though. Respectful. Dignified even. LSU is gritty, grimy, and guaranteed to give Alabama their best shot. And, its also the team that Alabama for some reason always seems to, I dont want to say "overlook" but, not really ever kill off. They just hang around, blow for blow.

The LSU vs. Alabama game is the only game I would want to attend as an away game, where I think we could lose. Not Auburn, not UGA. Not Citadel. (I have this weird quirk where I wont pay for tickets to a game unless I'm fairly certain Alabama will win...because I can watch em lose at home for free, without offending opposing fans......)

The environment there is quite envious. A night game at LSU....vs. Alabama. I honestly don't think I'd care as much if they lost...

I think that's very well said. I hate Florida with a passion, for the rivalry. They always stir up some kind of shit when that game is coming around and the team/staff are as bad as bandwagon fans.

My hatred for Bama really only stems from the fans, I'm not even talking about any of you in here either (well maybe a little ;)). I've just grown up with my Dad being one of the most obnoxious Bammers ever (not a bandwagoner, just obnoxious) and then the immense success that Bama has had just brings upon so much arrogance in this state it's not even fun to discuss football anymore.

As far as the team, I've got no problems. I want all kids to have success and Bama has done something historic (arguably with help along the way cough cough), but it's still really impressive. Even though it's not my team, it's cool that it's happening during my lifetime. I hate LSU playing Bama because they are the Achilles heel for them. LSU can lose to any other team and it's no big deal, but lose to Bama and they're out of it. Because Bama won't have multiple losses, so you HAVE to win the tie breaker against them. You HAVE to beat them, and you HAVE to have equal or less losses. Just the way it is. It's just always a slugfest. Even the 21-0 "absolute beatdown" (as bammers call it...late 4th TD...so really 14-0 not much of a beatdown but whatever...I'm bitter) was still a slugfest. Sure LSU's offense was lathargic, but when has it not been? The defense though always keeping them in the talks, and I love defense.

If LSU doesn't beat Georgia, I expect Alabama to ROLL through them. If LSU beats Georgia, different story...maybe not a W for LSU, but at least a hell of a fight.

HAHAHA I remember kicking everyone out of my house when LSU beat Alabama 9-6 or whatever it was that year. "None of you are allowed to watch an Alabama game here anymore!" Superstitions are wild, aren't they?

That was the same year they met in the Natty. Offensively, no. That wasn't a beat down. Defensively, it was really impressive. Also, Alabama was firmly in the mindset of "Score more than the defense allows", of which I HATED (and still hate).

As a fan, you want to see the athletes on the offensive side that have been hyped up since 9th grade perform. Saban always used to throttle the offense. Pissed me off so much. Now, he's like

EDIT: I think the run ins with Clemson finally pushed Saban over the edge of needing a very powerful offense. When you are scrambling on special teams to keep up, you're in trouble.

0-2, Tennessee wins on a safety because jarret stidham passes to the wrong endzone.

No but seriously, Auburn will win a close one.

It happened during the Arky game I believe on a scramble. It was just a tweak and it hasn't stopped him from fully participating in practices to I'm not worried at all. Seeing Jalen throw the ball this year makes me 100% confident he can come in and run the offense without missing a beat. May not have the accuracy numbers that Tua has, but I think the same kind of points can be put up. I'm not so sure Tua will "get smashed" though. If any of our QBs were ever going to take "that hit" it would have been Jalen and he just knows how to avoid that big hit. I think Tua is really the same way about that. I think he knows he is more dangerous with his arm than his legs so he looks to avoid getting him to where it could take him out of a game.

Bryant is allegedly visiting Arkansas, Chad Morris recruited him while at Clemson.
I don't know the qb situation at Arkansas but I think this is better for him than having to play against Clemson next year.

Kelly B gonna realize hes not that great when he doesnt have the Clemson WRs and D to bail him out of being a marginal passer

He needs to skip FBS schools and drop down a level and excel if hes trying to improve draft stock

The final will be: flaming bag of poop - steaming pile of poop

Auburn will win, making it 12 straight SEC losses for UT. Jeremy Pruitt will have a coach boom moment on the sideline.
