    Naw you’ll be good. I’ve been from zero to 12,000 feet and mine didn’t explode. I even pulled a trailer up through the vail pass

    Thanks for the insight as to why some of us experience this behavior. Easy cure for me, correct or incorrect, was to remove the negative battery lead and let the tables clear. If that is all it takes, which was a once in four month occurrence I am okay. Knew it was not the Tune and there was no reason to reflash. Figured it had to be in the Mother Ship mess of an ECU. Again, looking forward to 1.05.

    My favorite part of being tuned is when I went through the mountains cruising along at 2500-3000 rpm and I heard the Tacoma next to me downshift and screaming at 5000-6000 rpm to make it up the pass

    I always found on 1.04 that driving a little more 'enthusiastically' after starting the truck made it run better... of course only up to a certain degree as the engine is cold.

    I’m somewhere in the middle. I do so much highway driving that my numbers are way better than most people see. I usually set the cruise at 65-70 cuz the sooner I get somewhere, the sooner I have to work again lol

    Vail is easy from East to West - a little tougher from West to East. Try Monarch and Cottonwood. Still your truck will not explode. I've pulled my camper over all of them with no issues. Good news about elevation - it allows lower octane.

    I wish i could use the cruise control. Its all over the place on gears and a guaranteed loss of mpgs.

    Yah...wondering if a little snowflake was part of the design team. They wanted to make their mark so they made a sensitive Tacoma that instead of offending no one, offends EVERYONE

    I came from the west to east. I did better up the pass with 3,000 lbs of trailer than a lot of other cars did just by themselves. There wasn’t any place I couldn’t maintain the speed I wanted

    Oh the advantage of having a MT. I have the AT so I used the S mode and locked out anything above 4th. Ran fine in the power band all the way up the pass. Had the MT in my Gen 2 - thought 1st was so low it was only good for pulling the house off the foundation!

    1.05 uses the throttle/torque changes to stay in gear. I was doing 80mph across the bridge over Tampa Bay during the tropical storm and only going up the bridge with a 40mph headwind did it change to 4th.

    Don't worry, I won't tell the cops you were doing 80mph.

    Isn’t that the normal speed limit down there?

    @OVTune
    With that being said, is it/would it be possible to add an aftermarket MAP sensor and tune for it? Is there an input on the ECU that could be used this way?
