I was looking for an appropriate "sploosh" gif but none seemed right for the moment.

"D" is dead to me. I'm always in "S" now.

Wish I hadn't done so much other stuff to my truck.... This seems like the way to go.

Right? Haven't found anything under $300 that I trust enough to be the dedicated "truck flasher", so I think I'm just gonna go with a handheld from OVTune

I was driving this thing in the mountains outside Cripple Creek from day one, the behavior when going uphill in that area is just :censored:. Always had to put it in S3 and 'scream' up the hill just to maintain speed and avoid that AWFUL shifting. Excited to go back now that I'm running a tune to see how it behaves! I think average mpg was around 13-14 up there

Yeah, if I'd had any idea of the issues these 3rd gen ATs have, I definitely would have waited for a manual to come in to the dealership, even if it cost me a pretty penny for the rental I was driving. I was just rushed at the time, once the insurance decided my old rig was totalled, I had less than a week left with the courtesy rental. Stupid me, I loved my 2nd gen so much I just figured "oh it's a Tacoma, the new ones must be just as awesome as my old one" so I didn't even test drive this thing. (expensive) Lesson learned, I guess

That and there is significantly fewer MT tacos out there as compared to Autos. Has to be like 95%+ Autos.

It is starting to look like some trucks could benefit from a master battery disconnect switch installed for resets. I have/had been using them on several summer cars and boats over the years to stop battery drain . Anyway it would make it easier to disconnect the battery when ever one wants to , and not have to stress the battery cable connections etc. @OVTune , how does this sound to you ? Also would help for theft prevention .

I wish a M/T tester would let a few small details slip. :playball:

Like how these throttle changes feel in 6th on the highway.. Bueller?

    ANYTHING?

    Personally don't recommend it.

I've noticed a few people have had some issues with getting files flashed (recent customers). We are investigating what could be the possible cause.

New flash manager will be available when handhelds are ready (1.05 release, same as before).

1.05 is progressing closer to release.

I got myself a manual so I can actually choose gears instead of pretending I am with the auto

Hey @OVTune , when can people start getting on a waiting list for the handhelds since they're sold out on your site?

Is "closer" a step forward or backward from "soon"? o_O

It's a step closer to legalized weed here. 6 days.

I'm gonna need some if this keeps up.

    Get a truckload
    Put it in baggies
Place label on bag with 1.05

Maybe that'll calm some of these people down!

Careful , then there would be no need for the turbos or higher octane tunes . Everyone would be driving around with the 87 tune under the speed limit ,thinking things are going by too fast , while looking for munchies lol.
