    i had to take out 4 leafs pre-side to even make the leaf move and tune my bypasses

    i guess now it just come down to i want more and a better ride

    i would not run 35 on a 4 banger going to over work the engine and damm 5.29 thats a big jump

    do 33x12.5

    Being such a small truck I would call Jeff at deaver and just have them make you a custom pack. Not much more than one of their standard pack, but much much better

    good question its a good kit but i'm not a 6lug so i have to take leafs out to make it work and i didnt have the money to do new weld on perches. so for now the axle has shims and
    even with taking the leafs out the truck still bucks a lil bet

    idk it could just be i'm being picky

    Are the shims stable when under load? I would be nervous something could happen when you are out enjoying the kit off road.

    I have no problems with 35s on my 4 cylinder, and I'm still on the stock 4.10 gears. I have to downshift a little sooner on hills and maybe drop 2 gears if it's really long/steep, but it's pretty flat out here on the east coast. I can still run 70 down the highway no problems. I'm looking at swapping to 4.88s by the end of the year though. I'm still trying to decide on differential, but I'll most likely go with an Eaton TrueTrac.

    A thing or two...
    The shims should lock into the axle with a pin and have a recess for the leaf spring pin, so they're not going anywhere.

    Im not a 4cly but I have 4.88s with a detroit from ECGS and Im running 37s so you would probably be ok I would assume, I ran stock gears for a little bit with 37s and it wasnt even bad

    Could be that the TC kit is really just a mid travel kit that cycles 10-12" under ideal conditions and you are wanting it to perform like a kit that cycles 16-18"

    they stay in place i also drilled it out so i could run the center pin through it

    What specific TC kit do you have and what leaf pack? It kind of sounds like you’ve got a few things going wrong with your setup.

    Any of you guys ever re-programed your speedometer after gearing/tires, heard it affected Transmission shifting tendencies.
