Yeah, I remember seeing that. I still need to pick up some trans line and connect it. Figured I would just pay the trans shop to do it since I want to do a trans fluid drain and fill (not a flush - too freaked about killing my trans).

 

The news does it all the time. I was in the newspaper 10 times last week without them asking

 

I guess kind of like how members do fab work, shock rebuilds, & install days. That was like 8 yrs ago, I didn't know members offered services here. Which is cool, that's how I got my cracked shock buckets fixed.

Really, Amazon offers installation services now?

oh please. nobody said stay in your student housing or whatever you call it. San Francisco, South City, San Mateo, Pacifica - talking the bay here there is ALWAYS something to do and certainly always a party or get together to hang at.

 

People were asking me to do Ultragauge installs too after I posted my install. Lol. No time for that though. I don't mind helping people with stuff but no more installs. I did plenty of that before I got this truck.

I've never done a full flush on my truck, I always just drain & refill. Maybe someday but I'm real anal about taking my truck to shops. I have trust issues and is why I do everything that I can myself. Only time my truck has ever been to a shop is for rear axle seals & regear. And of course tires which scares the shit out of me everytime.

 

I hear ya about the shop thing... can't stand it. Maybe I'll try the drain/refill on the trans. Can't be that difficult.

Drain & refill is really easy. Drain the pan, put about 4 quarts back in. Drive around a bit then repeat with another 4qts. That's what I do anyways. Of course it doesn't get it fully clean but pretty good.

 

when my dad bought the 02 in 2015 it had 59k miles on it.... now its getting close to 180k...
