It'll hang around for you to get back, no worries.

Eh, can't be larger than 3/4", can't spider, some other things.

I used one on the tundy a month or so ago after i got a large chunk blasted out of the center of the windshield from those stupid trucks that make hourly runs down to Denver. $12 kit made it go away and knock on wood...it's lasted the first cold spells

So for me, living in Westminster and driving I25 to Greeley almost every day, would my Nitto Terra Grappler G2's be fine or should I look at a legit snow/ice tire like the blizzaks you guys are talking about?

The snow performance reviews of the G2's are pretty good

Pretty much guarantee the first time or two you have to install snow chains in the snow, you'll leave them behind and learn to drive like everybody else.

If there's a point where you need dedicated snow/ice tires over your ATs, classes are going to be canceled anyway. I spent a year/winter going between FtC and Longmont and my wear-bar-showing KOs were fine. But then, like Star-lord said, I learned how to drive.

Is there any customer service these days where the recording doesn't automatically say "we're currently experiencing longer than usual hold times?"

And then the assholes at Bank of the West make you listen for the entire hold time, and if you aren't listening close enough to "press 8" when they ask, they hang up on you...resetting your extended hold time.

I guess my Amex always has instant customer service... maybe that's because they actually care about customers.

You will be fine down in the front range. I had the blizzaks because I lived up in the mountains.

    ^This.

But keep them (and some flares maybe) in the truck just in case you're ever heading over Wolf Creek Pass during a horrendous snow storm that forces you to slow to 15-20mph, light the way with just your parking lights (because even your low beams blind you), turn off the radio, and roll down your windows so you can hopefully hear something other than your own heart-beat; which will be rather pronounced after the first 18 wheeler flies past you as if he/she somehow has 5+ miles of visibility in the middle of a complete white-out snow-fall.

I've enjoyed the diamond pattern chains for snow wheeling. There's plenty of places/manufacturers/distributors to choose from. Here's one with install videos, etc.: https://www.tirechain.com/Tire-Chains-Diamond-Installation.htm to give you an example of the style and ease of installation.

    This.
I used to ride mine too almost year around. What freezes and falls will usually melt away in a day or 7. I've ridden the sportster over Vail pass in early summer with snow on the highway in a blizzard. It sucked, but it's doable on two wheels if you keep your shit together, and your speed down.
It's early spring when snow really hits.
