Ya we have 3 fires now around or in flagstaff. On is north west started a couple days ago. Another on is just south like maybe less then a mile started yesterday by some guy from California. (he is now in jail) And another huge one on top and north of mt elden. This on is huge. It is billowing so much smoke. They have evacuated multiple places now. I only expect it to gt worse as the summer continues.

Why cant people put out there fucking fires????

Ill get some pictures up in a second.

Shitty. I hate when I see a-holes flick their cigarretes out the window. I try and drive over them when they are on the road to put em out before they roll into the brush.

I can't believe this ignorant asshats can't figure this out by now. Probably mostly the same d-bags that think seatbelts are optional still these days. Fire is awesome... when you repsect it and do it properly.

Had a pretty close observation of the 02 Rodeo/Chedeski fire.
We were working in Show Low at the hospital at the time and there right up till the evacuated the hospital.

So much destroyed by one arsonist and one idiot.

When we went back to the jobsite after it was over the smell and burned land was very sad.

Mt. Eldon has had some bad burn marks on it since the 70's or early 80's I think from a campfire.
Hope it rains soon, that seems to be the only thing that does put them out.

I read somewhere that it takes up to 20 years for a single cigarette butt to decompose.

This sucks. I moved from Phoenix to Pasadena 2 years ago and last year we had the Station fire burn a huge amount of the Angeles National Forest. Many areas are still closed. I am moving back to Phx next weekend and was looking forward to biking on Elden a bunch this summer. I am sure the Flag economy is going to take a big hit.

We came into flagstaff from utah this afternoon and you could see the smoke from Page. They closed Hwy89 just after we came through, way bad smoke over the road. The wind is rediculous, I hope they can get a hand on this quick.

x2 man. Back in April we had ~4 buildings in an apartment complex burn down because some nut threw their cigarette in the pine straw landscaping. Displaced a lot of college students weeks before exams.

Damn that sucks! I use to live in Flagstaff, it is beautiful country. Good Luck!

You know I get shit from guys for stopping and writing citations to people who flick out cigarettes butts, but for pete's sake the world is not their ashtray! And here in Kansas miles and miles of wheat field will burn from a single careless cigarette butt. People normally tell me they don't want to use their ashtray because it stinks. WTF!!!! stop f'ing smoking in your vehicle!!!!!!
