Absolutely. There are different models. Make sure you get the one that can do slow cooker and pressure cooking. I think ours have 7 or 8 different functions/programs. We use it several times a week - either start it in the morning before we leave for work and let it slow cook all day, or when we get home and use the pressure cooker function - fully cook whatever meat we put in there in 10 minutes (plus startup and cool off time, so total time is a little longer).
Great for soups, stews, pulled pork etc. also.

    Insure for the future.

I anticipate 3.2M subs and at least $100k annual revenue from Patreon.

So I’m guessing a $1.5M plan is the safe bet. You don’t want to devalue your skill or set yourself up to fail later should something happen.

Could be like my old Air Force roommate who used to buy fruit and veggies (even though we had a free chow hall) and wash them in the sink (to get the pesticides off) with Palmolive or Dawn before putting them in the fridge.

He was a little...off. So glad I got promoted to my own room!

Wife saw a couple different sized ones at Walmart yesterday, and was thinking of getting one. Sounds interesting to me. So if you cook a chicken do you add any water or just the spices? Just curious as Ive never pressure cooked anything other than canning stuff in jars.

You need liquids in there so that you can build up the pressure. We will probably be doing a pot roast in ours next week. Thinking about making some stock also.

Hey Capt. I eat cilantro everyday when home. Wife washes it under well water, spins it dry and stores it in fridge with stems down in a pint sized canning jar full of well water with a zip lock bag loosely over the top, stays fresh and tasty for a long time.

Yes, you have to add liquid to build up steam. It will come with directions and I think there was a recipe book included also. Note that there are Instapot brand pots at Walmart that are not pressure cookers. Typically the oval or rectangular ones are more like crock pots (slow cookers), even though they do have 8 or so programs/functions, they do not include the pressure cooker option, which I think is good to have. The round ones are (typically) pressure cookers also.

The pressure cook is what interests me. Especially for a chicken or pot roast.

We’ve got a storage thing like that and will keep cilantro and parsley fresh for over a month, but it’s got a hard shell and vents moisture. Plus, the fridge has a very nice smell to it.
