I`m writing from Montreal,...53 years old....
When I was about 4 or so,...dad use to repair tv`s late at night to make ends meet (on the kitchen table!)
Some things never leave our memory...
The picture above was used at the end of the broadcast day (usually midnight)...
It was advertised as the following,....broadcasting from Poland Spring Maine, this is WMTW, at a frequency of..xyz,...this ends our broadcast day, and in accordance with FCC compliance rules will resume at 6 a.m tomorrow morning....(the star spangled banner played).....
followed by....click here and set to 884Hz...http://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/....

For my Taco brethren afar,...Poland Sping Maine to Montreal is 230 Miles!!!!!!
    No radio interference back then...
BTW, the Indian head was used by techs , like my dad to do vertical and horizontal picture tube alignment...(LATE AT NIGHT WHEN THE WORLD WAS ASLEEP).

That my friends is why we had the Indian head target..
And now,....those of you in your later 40`s ,50`s and 60`s....now you know....

Cheers to all who remember Mr. Hooper...
or It`s not easy being green ( and if you think I`m refering to GreenPeace),...you`re on the wrong thread...

Kinna choked up right now remembering the simple old days...
The good old days also advertised Conscription on WPTZ from Plattsburgh N.Y.
(It`s your duty, and its the law)....
My condolences to all that lost loved ones because of poor government choices at the time.

The blue light specials at K-Mart. 20 bucks would fill the gas tank of my Nova with enough change to buy everyone a drink. And speaking of old cars, the God awful noise your speedo cable would make when it got bound up.

One of my favorite shows. I got myself into trouble at school for having a Rebel Flag pin on my baseball cap.

There was some crazy television shows that aired in the 80's-90's. Anyone remember Out of this World? Burt Reynolds is the voice of Troy pictured below. I spent a lot of my developmental years wondering if I had made up the show but thanks to the internet, it does exist.

When Apple released its first personal computer in 1984, the iconic Macintosh 128K, the price tag was a whopping $2,495. A steal at the time, really.

My dad really likes Emergency! I think it's a boring paramedic version of CHiPs.
