    @ChadsPride Being 2wd, like my buddy above stated, you are going to wanna stick with the OEM sloppy doughnut due to not having a slip joint in the rear section of the drive shaft. Rear driveline extension and contraction is done via the slip yoke at the trans so the driveshaft actually moves forward and back through the OEM CB quite a bit and is why the OEM CB is so sloppy.

    Now if you wanted to stiffen things up you could easily have a driveline shop add in a slip joint on the rear section of the shaft and get one of these ford ranger CB's that everyones using (including myself)

    I accidentally bought the Pre Runner version and injected the empty space with polyurethane to stiffen it up. If you wanna get me the 4wd spider version, you can has the 2wd version I have.

    It will help. But i cant guarentee a solution. I sitll have driveline vibes mainly due to axle wrap.... a double cardian joint in the center might be the end solution, but with the new OME dakar medium packs driveline vibes are well under control now.

    Rubber or poly makes no difference in vibrations, it's your pinion angle that makes a difference. The poly vs OEM style is the stiffness in the bushing. Poly will last longer than the rubber bushing as we've seen in other applications.

    More the bushing than the bearing. The rubber bushing wears much quicker than the bearing does.

    Which increases the longevity of your u-joints which increases the longevity of your pinion gear seal and bearing which increases the longevity of your whole rear axle so if neglected too long it can cause a cascade of repairs

    After going through a couple OEM Spicer CBs, I decided to go this route thanks to this thread. Put it all on this weekend, still need to pull it and paint it but results are good, I have a slight, slight stutter at 10-15 MPH but it's so much better than the stock units were. My setup, with a 2"-2.5" lift is just under a 2" drop spacers to make this setup work. I used 1" square tube, some 1/4" bar stock for the base and 90 MM long M10 x 1.25 pitch class 10.9 metric bolts.
