Nissan needs to have a joint venture with Toyota on the FRS.

 

So I was looking at how much adding brakes, upgrading the hubs to 6x5.5 to match the Tacoma, and adding matching 3rd Gen TRD OR wheels with BFK KO2’s. Here’s the breakdown:

• Dexter Nev-R-Adjust E-Brakes — $115
• Dexter Hub and Drum 2x — $144
• Tekonsha Brake Controller — $119
• TRD OR 16” Wheel 2x — $200
• BFG KO2 2x — $368

Total: $968

Nevermind. I’ll survive with the John Deere 15’s.

Well you could convert to 6 x 5.5, buy cheaper wheels and tires that would still work with your truck and then you would have alll sorts of spares.

 

That’s the whole point of converting to 6x5.5. So it matches my truck.

 

Well if you did what I said, they wouldn’t match in looks but tire and wheel spec would, and it wouldn’t cost as much.

 

No no, the point of doing this is for aesthetics. If I throw different wheels or tires then it would ruin the look.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll probably do it one day.

Maybe I’ll just convert the hubs and forego the brakes. Don’t need them anyway.

 

I think your priorities are off

 

Nissan and Toyota don't have any money between each other. They the only two completely separate Japanese car companies. Toyota owns a good portion of Subaru and Fuji Heavy Industries. So j don't think we'll ever see that unfortunately

 

Huh didn’t know that. Wouldn’t the same be said about a venture between GM and Toyota, or Toyota and Subaru?
