That's a good idea! Who wants to buy a 690 Enduro?

Yes, I agree with that as well. When I bought my truck with 165k the stock suspension was completely worn out and I was hitting the bump stops on every little bump. I even suffered with this worn out suspension for ONE trip to Death Valley. Once I got the OME on there I regretted not doing it sooner. I would love long travel but for now I think I'd be better off spending my money on a GFC and some maintenance that is due (LBJs and CV boots).

I am about to pull the trigger on one of these. The plan is to mount it to an Alu cab canopy. This helps me put it into perspective better.

Why the AluCab vs getting the entire GFC (not the roof top tent GFC)?
Also, the last I looked at the AluCab, it's a better deal to just get a commercial shell from ARE (or similar) for only about $1800. The one that came on my truck (ARE DCU) had similar weight capacities but on paper was lighter.

Yeah my friend has an alucab on his jk and it really sold me on that style of tent. Although, until GFC's became a thing, I couldn't find an acceptable solution for mounting one on my truck.

@BivouacCoffee has a GFC and isn't far from us. He's even in Denver occasionally. You should check it out in person and then you'll be sold.

Was reading through the posts from August...the truck pulls right due to the split in caster. It has less caster on the passengers side..making it pull right. Beautiful truck man! Btw, I’m from Buena Vista!

Those are going to look good!
Do you have a spare OEM wheel you want to sell me? How about a center cap? I'm sticking with the stock wheels that we have as long as I can!

Today I cleaned the softopper and hit is with this stuff

I'm really interested to see how it holds up. It really brought the color back, especially after all the off-road driving and dust. It definitely left like a coating on the fabric.

Well I got the tires swapped over today. The black is growing on me. I'm usually not a fan of black wheels because you lose the detail of the wheel since it's so dark. But I tend to make an exception for truck wheels. Not to mention the grey that Fifteen52 offers is kinda lame imo. I really wish they would have offered the 16" versions in a bronze but they told me multiple times there were no plans to offer that configuration...

I had the spacers removed when these wheels were installed as well. I was hoping I wouldn't need them anymore. But... I'm now getting some rubbing on the frame at full lock. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I really don't want to but the 1.25" spacers back on. I think they would kick the wheel out just a bit too much. I'm hoping I could get away with slightly longer studs and a smaller spacer... but idk.

I just deal with the slight rubbing on the frame at full lock on my truck with the OEM alloys and 265/75R16's. My wheel bearings have 199,870 miles on them and are still feeling/sounding fine so I don't want to stress them out any more.

I think you should do a test spot on the fender flares with the 303 protectant and see if it darkens them up nicely and protects them. They'd match the wheels and top better.

Yeah it's not bad enough to where it's undriveable right now but I think I do want to address it. I'm thinking of seeing if I can find longer ARP studs and maybe like a 1/2" spacer or something. We'll see. I need to look into it more.

I was thinking the same thing. I did the heat gun method a year ago and hit it with wax. But I didn't really care for them much beyond then and now I'm back where I started. If I can't get that 303 stuff to work, I'm really thinking of trying the SEM trim paint or something...

Bushwhackers would be good, but I don't want to spend much money on cosmetic things on my truck. I'd rather get some sliders and maybe the same front bumper (and then a skid plate).

Ehh I don’t really want bigger flares. I wouldn’t mind not having flares at all but the holes they leave in the fenders suck. If I’m gonna have flares, they’re definitely gonna be OEM ones.

Until I go long travel and get fiberglass fenders :anonymous:
