I am dropping my truck off tomorrow for a week for a little surgery. I am excited and sad at the same time.

 

I feel for you. Just got mine to the collision center. Waiting to hear if repairable or not.

 

No, that's what I am under the knife for. Finally "getting a pair" installed. Which according to my ex, is something I "should have done a long time ago" *shrug*. She has ugly knees.

 

Mine doesn't compare. I feel for you, man. If you had you choice, would you want it repaired, or totaled?

 

I haul the kiddos in it, so totaled if it cannot provide the same level of safety as it did prior. Repaired if that isn’t an issue. It’s still relatively new, planned on keeping it for a long time. Plus, interest rates are higher than when I bought. Will cost me more getting into a new vehicle.

I do like the 4Runners though...

Haha yeah that was me. Sorry if I wasn’t friendly on the phone. Been trying to get a rental for the last day and half and I was finally getting somewhere.

So far I’m good. Except they only had a Chevy Malibu for me to drive.

My experience with Allstate has been great. Way more responsive then USAA, but then again, I don’t pay them so why would they be responsive to me.

Dunno if this helps any but i saw a dude w/ one leg and a prosthetic hauling ass through Tempe on a bicycle yesterday. Sure wasn't holding him back and i bet it wont hold you back either. Good luck!

Man, seems so shitty. But if the docs say it'll help you out long term, they have seen alot and are probably right. Hopefully it all goes well bud!

 

Damn man, it sounds like in the end this will be the best for your life/health though. Best of luck with it all and hope surgery/recovery goes good.

My grandfather ended up being a double amputee at the age of 80 due to medical complications to save his life, said he would never walk again. Insurance at first denied him getting prosthetics due to his age saying he would never have the strength and ability to learn at his age, in the first year he wore out the practice legs, got a real set of his own from insurance and then eventually wore those out as well. So if an 80yo can learn and drive and do everything else he was doing, I’m sure your going to adjust and be back to your normal self in no time.

Also, after the cutting, will you be able to fit 35s?
