Yeah I think shipping kills it for most places unless you go for an off brand. You could make a good trip to CVT in tennessee if they have a sale, which they might have a Christmas sale if I remember correctly.


The tent I’ve seen that could be a good deal is the roam adventure co v3. Same size as the tepui autana. $1400 with the annex. Looks like $150 for shipping

Fuck yeah...do it. State is great. I know a lot of guys who have retired and joined state just for that reason. Plus, they are so accompanying to spouses and finding them jobs, it's awesome. There are plenty of jobs that are staffed specifically by spouses- extended family member jobs.

I got denied my request for my vehicle assessment for fairfax county. They said it has to be high mileage as of jan 1, so since my car wasnt then, i have to wait till 2019 to apply. So when i get an oil change or something ill be able to resubmit.

I hear you. I just got back from Amsterdam, and while I like Amstel and Heineken, I was definitely jonesing for an IPA all week. I did end up finding a local brewery there yesterday with two decent IPAs on tap so that was cool.

how's weather up there? have friends up there but haven't been able to get in touch with them. they live in alexandria by the army base. heard you guys have some wet weather.
