I just wanted to say thankyou for all the help and advise over the past few months. I bought a 2018 TRD sport back in June and learned alot from this site.

For the most part i really enjoyed the truck but I did realize it was not the truck for me. Toyota makes amazing vehicles and this isnt a knock on them. It just wasn’t for me.

I bought a new 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT fully loaded last night. Its MSRP was $57,000 and i got it for $40,980. The rebates and sales on the 2018’s was to good to pass up.

Things I did not like about the Tacoma:

1.) Im 6’4 and just did not fit in the cabin very well.

2.) The seats are quite frankly garbage and the lack of adjustability was really annoying.

3.) Steering wheel barley telescoped out.

4.) The God awful transmission even after the TSB update.

The Sierra seats are amazingly comfortable, way more room, and the transmission is solid.

For those reasons, i ditched the Toyota.

Again, thanks and I hope everyone continues to enjoy their trucks whatever it is you choose.

Nice truck!! I drove one just about like your truck before I bought my Tacoma. I probably would have bought it if they had offered me the price you paid.....

    Those GMC’s are nice trucks...enjoy.

I have seen guys ditch the third gen solely due to being cramped since they were over 6'. Hope the Sierra can deliver, nice ride.

    ...stuff
I hope the comfy seats are worth all of the other headaches you’ll be facing driving a GMC. There’s a reason you got it for over $16k off MSRP. But at least your tushy will be comfy.

Nice truck. At 6'4", I can see how you would be tight in a Tacoma.
My Tacoma is the first non GM full size I have ever owned. I'm still very much enjoying it. My wife can drive it and not feel overwhelmed. I honestly don't need a large truck anymore, but I do miss the larger bed at times.

Resell on a Tacoma is king...what did you lose? I suspect not much. Hope the GMC treats you well.
